    Help with lip picking..

I think this is one of the best things I've read when it comes to stopping habits like that. http://www.xovain.com/nails/quit-nail-biting-in-10-steps in this case it's nail biting but the techniques will still work and she's a great writer.

Subcutaneous fluids. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for all the suggestions. I used a syringe to get a slurry of pedalite and nutrical into her tonight. Going to give it one more shot in the morning using all of these suggestions, if that doesn't work off to the vet to watch them do it.

Subcutaneous fluids. What am I doing wrong?

Haven't posted in a long time but I always lurk and love how knowledgeable everyone is. So I'm asking for help. Severely undernourished dog was taken in. The vet recommended 9 days of sub q fluids. I've done this before and it's not my favorite thing but I've never had a problem till now...

What makes a good classroom pet?

People who are passionate/nerdy about almost any topic are my very favorite kind. And I will be sending you a pm soon. Looking obsessively at all the colors...no clue yet but I will let you know :). Definitely going to go with an yearling or adult vs a baby. Thanks so much and Reggie is...

What makes a good classroom pet?

It looks like corn snake is the winner :D I've always always wanted a snake and this is a good fit. Ideally I'll purchase one sometime in the next month or two. Pleanty of time to research and find a good breeder. Plus I get to look at all the color morphs. Ball python and garter were on the...

What makes a good classroom pet?

Allergies is a good point I didn't even think about the bedding. It looks like I'm going the way of reptiles, fish, or possible a very small rodent that might not need as much interaction. These guys look promising http://roborovskihamsters.webs.com/

What makes a good classroom pet?

For all those that are recommend rats I've always heard that pairs are better than keeping them as singles. If this is true for a pair what size cage and or tank? On the research list right now are rats, mice, and looking at snakes and lizards that are supposed to be easy keepers. Thanks to...

    Dalmatian sightings, anyone?

Slight derail here but I thought I would ask. Do dalmation mixes have the same spotting pattern? Do they have spots at all? I am curious because I have no idea what causes the distinctive spotted coat on Dals. But I am assuming it's recessive since it seems to be isolated to one breed.

    Breed variation

I believe I've asked this question before. Mainly my reason is because I'm a huge nerd about almost everything and that includes dog breeds. So I love to hear people who know a lot about a certain breed talk about the different styles within the breed, their opinions on said styles etc. How are...

How hair can make a dog look fat.

She looks great. Also this illustrates why I worry sometimes when I see hairy dogs that look a little thin, I worry about what they look like under all that fur.

    Obama Supports Same-Sex Marriage

My parents are a mixed couple and my dad is from the South. I think this is why it's such a big deal to me. I just wrote this but I'll state it again, this was passed decades before the majority approved of these marriages. Why should gay couples have to wait before the majority of the bigots in...

    Obama Supports Same-Sex Marriage

I don't understand why it is a state issue. It's so confusing to hear people in CA saying well the majority were for Prop 8. There were a lot of things the majority were against. Ending slavery, ending segregated schools, the right for interracial couples to marry, the right of women to vote...

    Obama Supports Same-Sex Marriage

Ok this thread is huge but this I do have to comment on. That it's not a big deal to you means that you are lucky. Everyday in this country gay children and dragged to churches where what they feel is openly discussed as a sin. They listen to their parents and other adults talk about how this...

    Blood, sweat, tears, and more

Aww I really do love this dog. In pictures he seems so excited and happy about everything :). If you don't mind that I ask what is the difference between Sloan and the Backup that makes her so much easier to work with? I know you've written about how intense and high drive Sloan can be but...

    Ugh, status symbol dogs.

Out of a general interest can I ask what is it about wolf dogs that make them so potentially dangerous as pets and different from dogs. I have met two in my life and both were very shy when I was interacting with their owners. But I've never had a lot of exposure, I have just always heard they...
