Baboon (AKA Willie) - my CRAZY dog!

Willie is a 5 year old German Short Haired Pointer. I adopted him from the Humane Society about 9 months ago. Willie is the only dog I have ever had (and I have had a lot of dogs in my life) that can outlast me in tug of war. At 90 pounds of nothing but muscle, this dog is huge. Willie HATES cats - and doesn't particularly care for other dogs, except of course my little Rat Terrier named Comet. Willie will retrieve balls for as long as I will throw them, which can go on for hours while I'm watching tv. Willie will almost do a flip in the air while trying to catch a tennis ball thrown high and slow. He also loves to go camping. When I go up to my mother's property up in the cool, tall pines in the mountains, he will take off for an hour and come back on his own. He is oblivious to pain, as evidence by the fact that he will run through barbed wire fences to get back to the property and not even whimper (not that I like this aspect, but this is part of the craziness of this dog). He can jump high and long - something I didn't expect considering his size. I could go on and on about this dog's antics, but he is also a very loving dog and VERY loyal. He will follow me around the house and yard as long as I am home. He stays indoors when I am not, mainly because he can jump a six foot fence. Just as well, he makes a lot of noise when people come near the property. He has his own couch during the day, but he will not leave my side at night, sleeping on the floor right next to my bed. Obviously, I am the proudest dog owner in the world and think I have the greatest dogs that ever existed, but that's coming from the "master's" point of view! Just an extra note: Willie can and will chew through one of those big rawhide bones in a matter of hours. I bought him this KING KONGED size bone last week. I figure if I'm going to spend the money, at least get one that will last a few weeks instead of a few days!!
I was going to say that He bit off more than He could chew but after reading what You said I can only hope that He enjoyed his big rawhide bone! Great picture. Nice looking dog!.

We got Buster one of those big bones a few years ago.. He still has it today. :D Very pretty dog, too!
