Cats:
MeowMeow: I found him when I was in preschool, stranded on the bridge that we were crossing... his tail had been run over and was rotting. Took him home, fed him and while he ate he cried, thus the name. Took him to the vet, ended up having to get his tail removed and I had him up until 2 years ago.
Dogs:
Oh this is a hard one for me.
Bailey: GoldenXBeagle :To this day this is my heart and soul dog. I got him out of our local Animal Shelter when he was about 8 months old. The second he got out he started screaming and flying at the end of his leash... mom thought I was insane to consider him, but the mintue we adopted him the lady told us he had been there for 4 months and rarley got out, and the screaming put all the people off. He hoped in the car and went with me til the day he died.
Tazz & Blackjack: Filas: This one is extremely hard to talk about because it was so recent. Tazz and a female fila, Tawney were owned by my mother's friend. She had a stroke, the male and female got together, and there she was expecting puppies. My mother was dog savy enough, she offered to take the male and the bitch and whelp the litter for her friend. Now remember, these are GROWN FILAS we are talking about. The male had been around us since he was a baby so he was use to us, but the bitch had never seen us so much as one time in her life. Surprisingly it went well, and 3 days later she whelped 10 puppies. We were able to place the mother and 9 of the puppies in homes and we kept Blackjack. Up until this time, we had never even heard so much what a fila was exactly... as far as the temperment goes. Blackjack grew up and became a nightmare for my mother and I. He was a fear biter, to say the least and had heavy seperation anxiety. He ended up breaking 2 crates completley and a door to boot. This past september we had to put both Blackjack and Tazz down, Tazz for health issues and Blackjack because we couldn't take the aggression, the SA, and the fear biting.
The sad thing about this whole situation? The breeder of both Tazz and Tawney KNEW we had to whelp the litter for my mother's friend who had the stroke, even CAME OVER to see the litter, but when asked if she would atleast take the male and female back WHO SHE BRED AND WHELPED she wouldn't. Needless to say, stay away from certain Texas fila breeder
