I already had a Great Dane, a Doberman and a GSD. If time and resources permits I would love to have a small breed. A Maltese or a Shih Tzu or perhaps a Papillon.

Cardigan
Kelpie
ACD
English Shepherd
Aussies...maybe. The floof is a bit much for me.

Another corgi/heeler mix.
Another basset or BMD mix.

Also, a Tibetan Spaniel. For the cuddles.

I have such a long list...as in, more than I could possibly own in a lifetime. I don't think I'll ever be without a longhaired whippet but there are so many breeds I want to try out.

Breeds I'm definitely interested in owning:
- Borzoi
- Scottish Deerhound
- Cirneco dell'Etna
- Another Rough Collie
- English Shepherd
- C/Koolie (I need to meet some first though)
- GSD
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier
- Papillon
- NSDTR
- Any cool mutt

Breeds I might be interested in owning someday:
- Irish Wolfhound
- Greyhound
- Magyar Agar
- One of the fluffy Belgians
- Border Collie
- Finnish Lapphund
- Powderpuff Crested
- Italian Greyhound
- Kooikerhondje
- Doberman
- Hovawart
- Leonberger
- Tamaskan/ANCD

The only purebreds I really like are

American Pit Bull Terrier
Flatcoat Retriever (new addition to my list)
Boxer
Border Terrier
Great Dane

What I'll probably end up owning:

Small terrier or spaniel mix (or something that looks like that)
APBT or mix
smallish ACD mix (I have fallen head over heels for all of the ACD mixes I've met in shelters, they've been my favorite)
Shar Pei mix that doesn't act like a Shar Pei (love the little ears and the facial characteristics, but don't like aloof dogs)
Random large mutt

I've obviously narrowed it down

I will probably never have a purebred, as I can't justify spending that much on a dog, up front. We would probably be interested in getting these types from shelters/rescues, though:

Snow dog (boyfriend loves them and if/when we move farther north, I would be happy to get one.)
Corgi
Some type of long haired GSD-like dog (like FG's Kastle, I think?)
Aussie Shepherd or another herding breed that isn't crazy
Another snuggley small breed that still looks like a dog. We've had a hard time finding small breeds we like.

I would only get another Kelpie for Gwen. I don't really care for the breed as a whole. I'm not a farmer and I prefer long coated dogs, but of course I love Gwen. She's not what I would have picked out, though.

We tend to like fluffy, curly-tailed dogs. I also want to get a Golden for my brother. He has some issues and we really think a dog would help him out a lot. It's just so hard to find one that doesn't cost a bundle around here.

Breeds I want:
OES
ACD - rescue
JRT (4.5 more months -ish!)
Generic bully dog - rescue
Something the has the build of all of Erin's dogs (shorter coated/moderate build) to skijor/bikejor with. This one next, plz. :p

Breeds Ryan wants:
HUSKY!!!! - rescue
Generic bully dog - rescue
Berner (sometimes, he asks when he sees a picture, the other two he brings up on a regular basis)

I left off all of the breeds that we like but realisitcally would not own. Like Ryan brings up the idea of another corgi every once in a while, but I just alpha roll him into submission and he gives up on the idea for a while.

Ideally (when we own our own home) I would like 2 permadogs, and then I would love to foster for a specific local ACD rescue and a specific local bully rescue. Because those two orgs are fantastico.

So:

- chinese crested powderpuff
- wirey haired terrier/mutt
- whippet
- greyhound
- more poodles

If all goes as planned, I'll be adding an English Mastiff in the next year. As far as distant/distant-ish future goes, Dobermans are pretty much at the top of the list. Koolies are up there too.

I've been entertaining the thought of:
Staffy
Basenji
Cane Corse
Chihuahua mix
Smallish terrier/terrier mix of some sort
Herder of some sort/generic shelter mutt of the herder brain variety

I'm so happy with koolies, I can't imagine having anything else because if I ever have space for another dog it will be automatically filled with koolie.

My list if the koolie-obsession ever ceases though:
Working bred short coat BC from a certain local breeder (super specific, I know)
Rescue mini-aussie
Rescue goldendoodle or aussiedoodle, or labradoodle, just some giant doodle thing
Papillon

This makes me so happy. Just, so happy. I can't imagine how I would feel if you had gotten Zinga and been like "No, this is horrible. Put it back."

NO! You can't!!!
Not that I want her...but I like visiting her and having my ear screamed in! So, if you take her...I get visitation rights :p

Also, Sara, if you just gave me Zuma, that would open up a spot for a Koolie

Gusto is pretty much exactly what I wanted. If I can keep finding cool BC/Terrier mixes in rescue, I'm set for life. If I can't, I'd strongly consider a purpose-bred Border/Staffy or Border/Stack litter.

Purebreds that may make their way into my life at some point:

BC - I know one breeder I adore. If the timing were ever right, I'd be very tempted.

Staffy Bull - Because holy cuteness, and athleticism besides.

Cavalier - So the wrong fit for my life right now, but I adore every one I know.

I will say... herders are not generally my cup of tea, but the koolie crew around here sometimes makes me think "Maybe someday...?" In some ways they remind me of Squash but with even more barking... so most likely not. :p

Breeds I'm interested in are:
Alaskan Klee Kai
American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier
Boston Terrier
Boxer
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Finnish Spitz
French Bulldog
Glen of Imaal Terrier
Irish Wolfhound
Karelian Bear Dog
Miniature Bull Terrier
Poodle
Shiba Inu
Tamaskan Dog

Tim really wants a Pomeranian, but I really don't...
P.S. These would all be in addition to the one or two Staffordshire Bull Terriers that will always be in my life! :)
