A RR, an APBT, and a lab mix puppy. They are all very active and have to be fed that to keep weight.

Traveler get about two pounds of raw here at 39 pounds.

I've never kept him on kibble, I imagine he would be expensive.

I feed partial kibble and partial ground raw or pre-made raw. It's a long and boring saga full of lots of trial and error, but the elevator version is that Squash has had a long-standing problem with soft stools and doing the mixture yields the best consistency stools most consistently. Also when we're mushing a lot it can be hard to keep weight on the youngsters, the kibble is a bit higher calorie made for sports/working dogs.

I started doing the same for Maisy just because she's not a great eater and she really eats the mixture well. And then I felt bad for Pip being left out and started doing it for him, too.

I feed raw and complain about the cost because I pretty much have to feed ground because they're so small and it's very hard to balance raw for such tiny dogs.

I actually find that Miss Chub keeps slimmer on raw than kibble, but Summer is going too far to the skinny side these days. Summer eats about twice as much a day as Mia and is still probably needing more weight on. It's strange since Mia is so much more active too. Summer is a bit bigger but not THAT much. (< 1 lb difference)

I am really grateful for my tiny dogs sometimes. Together they eat about 5 ounces a day.

The dogs eat raw here.

Web eats about 1/2-3/4lb per day (22lb dog) and is an easy keeper

Kim eats about 1.5lb/day right now (47lb dog) but she's on reduced activity right now

Mira eats about 4lb/day (55lb dog) and I probably need to up it again

It costs me about the same either way right now. Hoping to drop the cost of raw a bit if my new source works out.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, this is the feeding regime for my doggies:

Malyk, the RR at 87 lbs: 4 cups a day.

Chevelle, the APBT at 44 lbs: 4 cups a day.

Baloo, the lab mix puppy at 24 lbs: 4 cups a day.

Penny, the Dachshund at 17 lbs: 3/4 cup a day.

Thats what keeps them all at good weight and I go through 3-4 bags of TOTW a month which puts me right at $150-200 a month on dog food. Just seems like a helluva lot to me.

I haven't really looked at the calorie content but I had a hard time keeping weight on mine when they were on TOTW which is why I switched their kibble. They did well otherwise but it was just getting ridiculous.
