Jackson in no way shape or form NEEDS a new collar. However, his crazy mama (aka me) wants to get him a new red collar to go with his red Puppia harness. I got him a cheap $1 and it broke within 3 days (you can see in siggy pic) so I'm looking at better ones.

I REALLY love this 'seatbelt' collar:
Red Sparrows Dog Collar
But it's $25. Probably $30 with shipping. I have never spent over $10 on a collar ever... so if anyone knows where I can these cheaper, please tell me! It's my favorite one though.

Another skull-y one from ebay:
Red Roses and Skull Head Fabric Dog Collar - eBay (item 390087417674 end time Jul-24-10 08:05:14 PDT)

Can you tell I have a thing for skulls? I'm not even goth or anything, LOL. I just love these styles for doggies.
Stylish Nylon Dog Collar: Red With Skulls Small - eBay (item 330453109087 end time Jul-22-10 11:52:36 PDT)

Orrrr, this one?:
Dog Collar Walk-e-Woo Red Skull and Roses Tattoo Small - eBay (item 370364444111 end time Aug-10-10 18:13:19 PDT)

Do you think I should just cave and buy Jackson a $25 collar? Anyone have one of those seatbelt buckle ones... Jackson is in the water a lot and outdoors alot, are they easy to wash or do they get messed up fast? Also, is it gonna be too thick? He's got a pretty small neck, and is 15lbs. Thanks for your help! :D:D

That seatbelt collar is gorgeous! And it just seems to fit Jackson's personality.

I'm not one to ask about the skulls collars. Just don't like the look.

I love the seatbelt collar (Izzie has one), but it might be too wide for his wee frame. Izzie's is perfect for her because she has a nice "fat" neck with some beautiful skin rolls.

I really like the 3rd one for him though, it doesn't look too wide and it's really cute.

However if you swim a lot have you looked into dublin dog collars? They're made of a rubber type material that's water resistant and stink proof.

Thanks! I think it was Izzie's picture that got me interested in these so then I did a Google search. :) I was thinking it may be too wide... when I saw 1" width ... my little dude has a pretty tiny neck, even tho he's 15lbs. I *think* most of the collars we buy state they are 3/4" width or maybe 3/8", I don't remember.

I hadn't heard of the dublin dog collars! They look pretty nice! I'm gonna check those out. :)

Okay, I retract my previous statement. Now I think that you should get one of the collars that Mandy mentioned!

I have three of those seatbelt collars and they are very nice, but also kind of on the heavy side. I don't know exactly how big Jackson is, but Root is about 13 and some change pounds and the smallest size fits him rather nicely.

Jackson goes between 15-16lbs but his neck is quite fragile, surprisingly. He has a pretty small neck and you can see it more when he first gets his hair cut. lol. Not tiny tiny of course. His collars are usually around 11" around so I typically buy the 10-14" collars.

MandyPug, I think I love you.

What's more necessary for a group of hounds + a mom who hates to bathe them?!

Yay, good news. Jackson is getting this one, Red Sparrows Dog Collar I found the original site who makes them and e-mailed them and they are beginning to offer a 5/8" width collar now for smaller dogs. They are not yet available on the website but they're sending me the proper size. :)

I'll take pics when it arrives!

I like the 1st one!! Really nice and I think Jackson will look handsome :D

As for the Dublin Dog collar. OMGosh... I absolutely LOVE them. They are so awesome!!!!! They are definitely GOOD quality and are so stylish too :D Here is Harleigh's in hers:

Some other collar choices. I really, really love The Cozy Critter. They have SO many to choose from and the service is really great. I've recommended it to so many people and everyone has said the same thing, great service and product. It is really hard to choose though.
