What's your favorite dog breed?

Greyhounds and the Spanish galgo (essentially a Spanish grey) are my absolute favorite breeds, but I adore most other sighthounds too. I also am a believer that you can't go wrong with a good mutt!

My favorite breed? That's a real toughie. Seriously it is.

I absolutely adore those phabulous pharaohs. (Red dawgs Rule!) I will never have a household without one of them. NEVER.

I love Scottish Deerhounds. They are truly gentle giants, unless you are a prey item running away from them!

Any and all sighthounds but especially the more primitive of them- Salukis, Azawakhs, Basenji, Ibizans, Cirnecos...the list goes on and on....

Breeds I have owned are... german shepherd/lab, chow, rottweiler, min pin, chihuahua, shar pei, and APBT. No breed comes close to pit bulls. I love them, because they LOVE their people, they're clowns, they're very smart, and they have such a happy personality.

Out of breeds I have never owned... presa canario. Plan on getting one some day.

I have also developed an interest in the pharoah hound - I'd never really researched them until recently, but I might be interested in owning one someday!

I like the easily trained, highly intelligent breeds.

But most of all KANGAL dog is the best dog for me...

Of the breeds I've owned- papillons, hands down. Wonderful dogs.

I also love most the herders and the sighthounds for very different reasons. Ibizans in particular.

Alabai independence, close relations with his family, well-balance and predictive behavior, was that has touched us the most.They are not servant or workaholics by their nature. They are thinking dogs!
