Mostly just Wubbas and tennis balls these days, and a few rope toys.

I could live with the messes made by de-stuffing and de-squeakering, but ever since Squash decided to start pulling off big pieces of stuffies and actually swallowing them only to puke them up weeks later, they've been off the menu.
Same here

You people all have problems. :yikes:

If that is the norm - we were neglecting Gipsy. She had like 15 toys - most of those were from secret santa. She had one favorite stuffy where we would have to buy a new one every few years and secretly throw the other one away. She took her last one with her to her final resting spot. :( All her other toys are still down in the basment - in her toy basket, because no one wants to give them to chinook - but no one wants to throw them away. meh.

Chinook has like 7 toys right now. But she isn't home yet. I'm going to the petstore before school... uhoh. She also has a puppy agility tunnel. Maybe it will keep her entertained. :rofl1:

I love our personalized wooden toy box from Bed Bath & Beyond. My mom got it for me for Christmas two years ago.

It's got a lot of stuffed toys, which he doesn't really play with, except for when he gets the zoomies after a bath, I throw a bunch of 'em out and runs around trying to get 'em and squeaking them.

A mixture of Chuck-It balls (tennis and rubber), Kong squeaker balls, and Orbee balls. They're his favorite.

Currently, some of his water toys are in there (Ruffwear bumper, flying squirrel, and more) but they won't stay for long. My dad just opened his pool at his house so they'll go over there, I just haven't been yet since pool was opened.

Sometimes other things get thrown in there, like a harness every now and then, etc. Oh I usually just stuff his Kong wobbler in there when not being used.

Crossbone is neglected.

The only toys he has access to all the time are chuckit balls (because he can squish and chew them but not destroy), jolly balls and kongs. Even then I mostly put his toybox on top of the bar because he just spreads the toys throughout the house or expects to play ball constantly. Which we don't do in the house.

Then he has an assortment of destructible toys (fleece tugs, frisbees, tennis balls) that are kept on shelves and only used during direct playtime.

No stuffed toys at all, because they get destroyed.

We let him shred a box at least once a week. That's his favorite kind of toy. Destructible.

We don't leave toys or bones down.

Rumor is a terrible resource guarder. It's just easier to remove the temptation than to manage the behavior.

Also, if she's not resource guarding she and Zen will be shoving toys in our laps all day trying to play.

Our training bag has a mixture of frisbees, tugs, balls, hollee rollers, kickballs, chuckit's, etc.

Oh, it's definitely a problem. The biggest problem is "Look, a sheep toy! They NEED this! It's a SHEEP!" And Payton also gets quite a few gator toys. Whenever I find a shark I HAVE to buy it for Auggie (there aren't a lot of shark toys.)

They destroy their toys but I just keep sewing them up, and yet I buy to "replace" them too. I really need to just go through and throw away a lot of the stuff that has been sewed and sewed and sewed instead of keeping them...

I... don't have a toy box, lol.

My dogs can't have toys laying around, otherwise they just sit and chew on them and eat and destroy them. So they only get toys out when we're actively playing with them and then they go away. I don't even have that many, unless you count the irrational box of cute stuffed toys I haven't let anyone play with because they're too cute to be ruined LOL.

But they just have random nylabones and antlers laying around, Journey has a couple of Kongs in her crate and a black holee molee ball I think it's called (like a holee roller but thicker/bigger) somewhere in the house. Their tugs and frisbees and balls are all kept in various dog bags or the front closet.

I feel like I'm neglecting Duke now. He's not big on toys.

He has 6 toys. 1 quacking duck toy, 1 squeaky dragon, 1 of those large 'soft' chuck it balls, and 1 large rope toy (which is kept at my friends office permanently for both dogs), flying squirrel, and a jolly ball outside. He pretty much only plays with the dragon.

Also around 15 balls which are never left out. I collect them off the side of the river (hard rubber balls or squeaky ones only). So I end up with a lot, especially as summer rolls in.

I think you all need to go ahead and send me some of your surplus toys!!

I'm impressed!!

I don't have a toy box for my dogs, at least not one that they can have free access to. I have a shelf where I keep all my dog stuff, toys included, but mostly they only get toys when I am playing with them. They have bones and antlers etc lying around to chew on if they want to, and sometimes I leave out kongs or balls or other toys.

I seriously need to show this thread to my boyfriend. He makes fun of me for buying toys but I can see now that really I should be buying WAY MORE!

I feel the need to confess to my hoarding problem. :rofl1:

I keep all the toys in Futurepuppy's crate for now:

No idea where I'm gonna put them when she's in it...lol, here they all are:

They have amassed from a year's worth of 'oh that's cute!' and joke gifts from people and sales and whatnot. It's kinda disturbing. A lot of the non-stuffed ones were Wesley's baby toys though.

We're working on our selection. We just added the box and the net was more for show and to keep things off the floor. I still need to finish her room

And sorry for the crappy pictures. Phone and there is currently no light in her bedroom.

I am glad to see I am not the only one with lots of toys. My little dogs are not bad about destuffing toys so have lots of stuffies. Garage sales are just starting so I can pick up a bunch of new ones and throw out the ones that I have had to patch up.

So far, Kris, likes to play with the stuffies and does not seem to want to tear them apart but that could change. She loves empty plastic bottles, milk jugs, etc. that crackle when she bites on them. They make cheap play toys.

I have one of those canvas drum type things to put their toys in and it is usually at least half full. Had to quit giving them the doggy tennis balls as they would pull the outside fluffy stuff off.

Oh yeah, I meant to say, Yarrow's favourite toys by FAR are yogurt containers and plastic water bottles. He'll entertain himself for ages with them! And of course they are destroyed by the end. Cardboard is also another fave. No store bought toy can compare. Pretty handy!

You have plenty of company lol

This picture was 3 moves ago, right before Mira came home, but we still have an appalling number of these toys. Plus several Rubbermaids full. I'm planning to send toys home with puppies to reduce the stash...it's getting a bit out of hand.
