i apparently have a second cousin in alaska named Random.
i am related to a lady named Rhea Dire [Dire, Rhea].
my gram knew a guy named Claude Hopper.
i personally dislike the current trend of wannabe prince/princess/elvish names. like, let's see how weirdly we can spell this name: Madison, Maddisson, Maddyssonne, Madysonn, etc. Rrhiannonne, Rhyannon, Rhianone... Brianna, Brryanna, Bri'yanna.. Katelyn, Caitlin, K'tl'nn, Catlin, Catlyn, and Katelin, you get the point. sometimes they are names that i loved before they were brutalized. it's just so over-the-top. my english pastor always gives the epitomy of what not to name your British son if you don't want him to be bullied: Aloisius St. John Smythe. [PS St. John is pronounced SinJin].
i read somewhere some good advice for naming. think of really amazing careers that your child may have some day, and say the name you are thinking of with that title. United States President Claude Hopper, or Prime Minister Kwynncey Nutmeg Smith?
i have many people i love who have names i would never name my child. personally, i love old-fashioned names. probably because they have a feel of purity or refreshing reality about them. and aren't overused anymore.
