Yeah, I'll feel better once he's eating. :)
So will I! I can't wait to get home to him. I've been sitting here at work absolutely sick with worry for him all day!

I'm almost tempted to feign illness so I can go home to my dog!

Poor little dog...good thing you amde a vets appointment!Tell how he is doing and if he likes his new food or not...And if he starts to get better on it!And it would make better sense if the bag of food was bad...

I'll definitely keep you guys posted!

I'm off work in 2 hours. Can't wait to get home to my baby. I hate leaving him alone when he's not feeling well :-(

it doesn't necessarily just have to be the food "going bad".

pro plan and other products that aren't exactly high-quality foods are often made with ingredients that had one problem or another that prevented them from being used in human food production, so they are used for making pet food instead.

i'd pick a food that is made from good quality, consistent ingredients and free of byproducts etc.

I am going to do some research and put Beans on a better quality food. I thought the Proplan was good food but I'm starting to think that perhaps the advertising is misleading.

My boyfriend chose the dog food to put Beans on and he's of the mindset that "dogfood is dogfood" so he tends to buy the cheaper varieties of food.

I think this experience will probably change his mind though (and if it doesn't change his mind, I will!). I'd much rather spend a little bit more money on food if it means I'll have a healthy dog!

Yeah try putting him on a better diet...except I'm not doing good with that myself. Yeah it is probably the bad food...have you tried giving him the dog food yet? Just wondering...

No, I haven't gotten home yet. I'm off work in about an hour and I'm going to feed him as soon as I get home.

I'll keep you guys posted!

I bought Performatrin Ultra Lamb and Brown Rice. It appears to be a high quality food.

That depends on the dog. And it's usually much easier for them to go up in quality. My dogs get a variety in their diet and have never had a problem. (except that time they ate the salmon too fast :/ )

I got home and fed Beans the new food about a little over an hour ago.

He seemed to like it and has (so far) kept it down. I'm crossing my fingers that he won't throw it up! He's still active as he usually is and doesn't appear to be sick.

I only gave him half of the amount I would normally feed him so I'm going to wait another couple of hours and if he keeps it down I'll give him a bit more (as he didn't eat anything earlier in the day--poor thing must be starving!).

I'm really really really hoping that changing his food solves the vomiting problem!

Thanks for all your support everyone and I'll keep you guys updated on how he's doing!
