:( Allie poor Palom...good thing is, they can probably give the meds without an extra x-ray. I mean, she was willing to go ahead and give the meds for it yesterday.

Quick update on Rogue while I am at it. He is coughing, and sneezing more than I would like. He is very.... settled down, and lazy for lack of a better word, but that could just be his normal attitude. It is extra hard since I just got him... I do not know if how he is acting is normal for him or not. Good thing is I did not see anything wrong with his poop such as blood or mucous, but, I would not know if it has changed, as I have not had him long enough.

I cannot wait to get him to the vet, so I can know if something is wrong or not.

You and me both! I'm hoping that it's good news, or at least not-worst news, when we bring him in.

Thanks for the update! I'm a bit frazzled today so I forgot to ask earlier, sorry!

Home again. This visit was easy. He pooped as soon as he was out of the carrier, so we took advantage of it and took a fecal float test. :p All clear on that front, which is great!

We decided to treat him for helicobacter, as that's the most likely issue. In turn, it will simply lower acid in his belly and otherwise clear out bacteria and such. He's on three different medications for three weeks. x__x One of them is very bitter and he gets it twice a day... I'll have to mix it with some duck soup. ;)

He was so sweet at the vets. He gave the vet kisses, and while we were waiting for the float results he lay in his open-doored carrier resting his head on my hand. <3 I love him so much.

Again, not out of the woods, but this SHOULD help him, so please continue those famous Chaz vibes and prayers that we come through this with a healthy, fat, cuddly Palom. <3

Here's a pic soon after he came home today... Porom is being a good sister and being a blanket. ;)

I'm not familiar with helicobacter since that's one of the few ferrety issues I haven't had to deal with. Is it completely curable with the meds? Keep us updated!

Continued vibes for both Palom and Rogue.

Home from the vets with Renegade and Rogue. Renegade is very healthy and happy. Rogue most likely has asthma, or there is the possibility it is a tumor. He has trouble breathing, his respiratory rate was 60. For comparison, Ren's was 34. Yah, big difference. So, Rogue is on some antibiotics for 10 days 2X a day... of course bitter stuff so I will have to add some juice or something in there.
If he does not get better, I am to bring him in for some X-rays. If he gets better for a little bit then relapse's, I can call and leave her a message if she is not around, and she will give me some more meds without having to see him.
All in all, MUCH better news than we had expected. She thinks it was probably not brought up by his old owner's because if it is asthma, he would have been like that his whole life so she would not recognize the difference.

So good news all around, Palom and Rogue are both on the mend! And of course, Allie is awesome and came to the vets with me :)

ETA: Now that he is home, I can hear him moaning... wtf
