I took some advice from Doberluv, here, about that.
Apparently there needs to be two levels of treats - good and extra good!
Good are things like kibble or chew treats, extra good are things like chopped liver, sausage etc. Doberluv suggested cooked chopped hot dog sausage, which I use for training and extra good behaviour, and they love it!!!
