Umm.. HE'S great, but I haven't had a full night's sleep or sat down for more than 10 minutes at a time in a LONG time. (It's hard to believe I've only had him for 2 weeks, it seems like an eternity of puppyhood ahead)
Oh, and if I have to yell "DON'T EAT THAT!!" one more time... I'll probably just have to yell it even again, because he doesn't listen the first 400,000 times I say something.
My brother brought the movie "The Punisher" over last night, and he said I would like it, so I popped it in the DVD player and started watching it. I am not exaggerating, I had to re-start EVERY SINGLE TRACK because I would get up and unlatch the puppy's jaws from something. So, I put him on the leash about halfway through the movie because I was tired of watching the same thing over and over, and when I thought he was being still, he had 'scissored' through Ripley's nice leather leash, and was eating the rug. So I put him in the crate, 5 minutes later I hear barking, barking, barking, howling, barking, and I can't hear my movie. Mind you that EVERYONE else is in bed, and this is about 2AM. So I bring the crate into the room with me and use a squirt bottle on him every time he makes a peep.. And of course, during all of this, I'm missing the movie. About 3 hours into the 2-hour movie, I'm too exhausted to watch so I go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning my brother went home and took the movie with him.
But right now he's actually peacefull and sleeping, for once.. I hope he'll sleep until at least 6AM this morning, he's been whining, barking and pacing in his crate at about 4AM lately, and it drives me crazy because that's usually just a couple hours after I go to bed.
Want to raise a puppy for me and give it back when he's a year old?
But yeah, he's just being a pup, I can't say that I absolutely adore everything he does, but he'll be a great dog once he gets a bit older.
