That does look fun I bet your kids would love it! Well hopefully if you get them used to the packs.

Steve just said he'd go with me which is good. He said he'd bring a rifle  just in case. He's really afraid of bears.

Scarlette where are the best places to look for those packs?

Id love to go on one of these.

We usually walk around 10+ miles per day on normal days, so this would be great fun.

too bad its too far.

Actually I'm just looking at it again and I don't think it starts where I thought it did. Oh well, it's not like there's a shortage around here.

oh wow. your lucky. Ive hiked and packed in alaska once but not there. wanted to ever since my trip though. this is the best site Ive found. I have the banzai pack for strider. be sure to follow the chart that tells how to measure your dog properly though. http://wolfpacks.com/index.htm
also highly recommend taking one or 2 cannisters of this http://www.udap.com/ its twice as strong as the pepper spray cops and military use. dont spray it at a person or they could be permanently blinded and have permanent brain damage.

10 miles a day? Just for excercise?
We are very active. We run together.

One time in morning and twice at night, about 3-6 hours total per day of walking/running/training.

Its not that hard to cover such distance in that time, not all at once though.

Oh and yes, I spend way too much time on my dog :) Added to walking there is feeding, playing, etc. :)

I spend more time with my dog then I do with work and my friends. hehe.

My parents did the Chilkoot a few years ago they had a great time. They dont own dogs, they still had a good time in spite of that. I wish I had a scanner, wait they do and they have all the pics. I wonder if I could take Dr Distruktor (aka Bluedawg) over there to scan and upload them. Im also trying to remember how many pics of the trail they have that dont have people in it.
