We have neighbours who moved n a few years ago with 4 kids. When they moved in, the youngest was Almost two. Now, granted, I live in a townhouse and am a few houses away, but all the time this kid would just walk right into my house, and her mother would have no idea!

A 14 year old boy was stabbed and killed last night, right around the corner from my house.
Right where we walk the dogs at night.
If Josh hadn't wanted an early night, we may have been a witness to it as it happened at 10pm - the usual time we take the dogs out for their last walk.
The roads were blocked off from 10pm-10am today.
It's so shocking to have that happen so close to where I live. I feel terrible for the poor kids family.

I know that I wouldn't be able to work at my job if I was pregnant so I would probably be "let go" so they could say they "laid me off" and didn't fire me 
. They aren't supposed to allow kids at the race track either but for some reason that rule isn't being enforced :/. I am on my way to becoming a trainer and when I do, I might start complaining about that ... the track is no place for a kid.

Nope, once it's all over I'll post the whole of everything that happened. Suffice it to say they claimed it was affecting my work, though they never told me if had complaints (salon policy to make the original groomer fix it if there is a problem) and fired me when there was nobody else to hear what she was saying. In working on getting my own salon open, so this is a good thing. I needed this, it's just that the way it was fine was cruel, especially after I covered her for her maternity leave.
So I made me an open faced sandwich for dinner (very good, tasted fine and everything) AFTER eating it, I take a glance at the other pieces in the bag and they are MOLDY. I was like ... ****! So I dig the discarded bottom (don't like the bottom) out of the trash and sure enough ... MOLDY.
Now I am freaking out, I didn't see any mold on the top of the slice I had but I am all.scsred I'm going to die.

Just because you think that it is 'just a bird' does not mean that I don't love, and cherish her as a pet. You cherish your cats, and if one of them, heaven forbid, were sick you would take it to the vet. In this case, it was my bird. My always happy, please don't stop petting my head, let me give you a kazillion kissy faces, bird. She was not herself. And, I will be danged if I didn't try to make it better. So don't tell me that my birds life is less than your cats life and chide me for taking her to the vet. She's got her medicine, had her x-ray, and will get blood drawn in 2 days if she is not back to normal. So eff off.
And another unrelated note. I understand that they were 'rude' to you. Just.because YOU do, or think, or act one way does not mean that you are right or should have the right to be a jerk face to me about them. I care a lot about them. You wanna talk about them? Fine. Don't say it.to me. I can't wait til this is over.

That's awful, I'm sorry : ( I got the same reaction when I had rats and took them to the vet. I had someone actually say to me "they're like two dollars at the pet store... you could be 15 of them for the price your paying to give this one medicine." And someone else said it was too much to pay for "snake food." Sometimes people are just clueless.
I kind of wish I could just not work tomorrow lol. We aren't going to have a vet in for the afternoon, so that means we don't have any appointments. That's going to be... a very boring 4 hours. I am supposed to man the front desk and stamp paw prints on the walls - which, I'm sure I'll find a way to screw that up lol. Blah.

While I haven't had an addiction, I feel like I would if I had those items accessible. For now, I'm choosing to not even touch anything that is similar, because I can't trust myself.

I messed up my first three years of high school. I have a poor GPA,& I'm afraid I won't expect to most colleges(or any).My future seems so hopeless,& messed up.
I should of motivated myself more, but of course,I didn't. I no motivation to motivated myself to do schoolwork.

I received some insensitive comments when I've taken my birds to the vet. A couple years ago, one of them received a bad injury, and I took her in to be euthanized - she was suffering, she was in pain, and I wasn't going to let her die like that. Several people (dog/cat people) asked me how I could justify spending money on that. Just...no. No.
