Monies. Why you so difficult?
+1

Baby coming early means my plans to take the rest of the school year off were rather disrupted. I'm now trying to crunch numbers like mad to see if we can afford me not having another paycheck until September, or if we need to find day care for 2 months to get us through June. I don't like stressing about money.

So sick of just waiting to be engaged and it not happening. Do I stay for love or leave for life goals that match up with mine. Grumble grumble.. everyone keeps getting engaged and I am just sitting here, getting sick of being kind and patient.

There is a specialized veterinarian working at the local University who has a reputation for his horrendous beside manner. The problem is that he has very fancy tools at his disposal that aren't available anywhere else within a reasonable radius. I had a terrible experience with him, and it was so bad I wrote a letter to his boss (I really, seriously, don't do things like that). I occasionally hear of other people having equally as bad experiences with him. Today though, tops the cake.

We sent a client to a different referral place because we couldn't diagnose the dog. The referral place we sent the dog to, also couldn't diagnose the dog. They sent the dog to the University because of one specific diagnostic tool the U has. This veterinarian refused to do what the dog was sent there for, saying it wouldn't be worth it. Not only that, he tried to blame us, and the other referral place for making the dog worse.

I seriously wonder how this guy can continue to practice?! I've heard he's a phenomenal surgeon, and I don't doubt that. He just needs to stop seeing appointments.

So effing annoyed.

Pfft. You trying to say that "That's that way it is and your dog is going to die" ISN'T a good diagnosis?! He's given that diagnosis multiple times...and I've yet to see it be accurate.

OOOoooooh ha not the answer I was expecting. I hardly ever refer up to the U anymore, so I thought maybe there was some new hotshot surgeon up there.

I would like to make him eat his words and bring him Buzz again. But he'd probably say that Buzz doesn't have a good quality of life because his mobility is impaired.

We see a few dogs he's done surgery on, and I have no reason to say he's done anything other than a fabulous job in that regard.

General diagnosis. No, just no.

Also, Buzz's was more like
Me: "The left side of his face is paralyzed,"
Him: "Yes, I can appreciate that,"
Me: "... do you know why?"
Him: "No, but the other side will become paralyzed, too,"
Me: "Oh, so you've seen this before, what causes it?"
Him: "It just happens."
Me: "... right. It just happens." Because unicorns poop fairy dust.

Now I'm just frustrated all over again for all the people who happen to cross his path!

He kept dwelling on Buzz's neurological deficit. I kept insisting that I'm well aware of it, and that is NOT new. The facial paralysis and not able to eat safely IS new! So he told me to get a myelogram, because of Buzz's neurological deficit that he's had for many, many, many years with insanely slow progression.

/off my soap box now, I swear.

Wow, for a second I had to check and make sure we really are hundreds of miles away because that sounds JUST like one of the vets here. Great surgeon, very good at his specialty, but as a general vet... just no. I keep wondering if he's just burnt out or something? I can't figure it out. He once was actually a quite good vet. It's so weird.

It's the best feeling in the world, isn't it?
Dear God. I can't believe how sick I get now when I eat crappy food.

I would like to do that right now. Craving KFC. Actually, just fried chicken in general, but I haven't had KFC in a couple years and it's sounding just amazing right now.
If you do, just be careful! Lol

I can't fix a problem I don't know exists. No, you can't take over the club's website because you can't even manage to properly use the club's Facebook page. Sometime you just don't get things your way, live with it.

I'm so far behind where I NEED to be at work, and I've blanked the past few days.

I'm done. I just need a day off. I left early this evening - they wanted me to stay until 9 - and I'm taking my day off tomorrow. I shouldn't, but I am. I'm going to get some sunshine and go hiking with the itty bitty dog. I'm going to get my nails re-done. I'm going to go ask someone out or something cool. I don't know. Just something different.
