Been sick with a really bad cold for ten days. Finally was feeling better then suddenly my throat got super sore, the worst headache ever came and now I have an ear infection. So much pain and I feel like my head is under water. I can't hear anything properly and my headache won't go away either. I wish I didn't have to work today or tomorrow, but I feel super guilty calling in cause I have only been there a handful of months and called in once last week on one of my worst days, not knowing this ear infection was going to attack me. I went today and it was terrible, and because I don't really look as bad as I feel, my coworkers don't understand the severity at all. One even asked if they could leave early just because (they didn't, but still). I don't normally complain about being sick, but I am so tired of this and just want to feel normal again. I was so dizzy this past sunday (my only day off) that I couldn't even go for a walk and enjoy the nice day, and I hate working like this. I deal with patients all day every day and it was bad enough with just regular cold symptoms, but now I can barely hear them. Then, to top it off, I went to a walk in doctor today before work and he gave me antibiotic eye drops by accident instead of ear drops, which the pharmacist says should be ok (but not as good as ear drops), but she didn't sound super confident. I asked the dentists at work what they thought and they said they should help too, but again, not as good as ear drops. So we'll see in a few days. If they don't work I will have to find some time to get into my own doctor. Ugh. I barely ever get sick but it's been so frequent since December (if I am not actually sick I am fighting something off). I don't get it. I think it must just be from working 6 days a week regularly and not enough time to relax/sleep... nothing else has really changed. I hope I get back to my regular, healthy self soon.
