LOL, I would SO post that if I didn't want to avoid starting drama with his family! It's perfect.

edit: Then she posts a pic of her baby girl captioned "This is why I don't need feminism" WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
Post the pic. You have to now.

I'm going to vaguebook for a second: I am sorry you're upset, but I'm not sorry for the reason. We're all adults here.

Someone beat me to calling her out, it looks like. Kind of.

Because correlation = causation, right?
This is a HUGE beef with many of my friends.

I have have several friends who are SAHM on a VERY small salary. They make it work but its not easy for them. Then they hear people say "Oh you are so lucky you get to stay at home, I wish I could" as they drive off in their brand new car home to their brand new mcmansion.

I get sometimes it really isnt feasible (usually for insurance reasons) but seriously, because of feminism?? lol...no, its because of the rat race and keeping up with the Jone's mentality usually

When women entered the workforce like... a hundred years ago? lolderp
I know, right? lol. **** us women for wanting equal rights in the first place! It ruined everything!

Greenmagick, I 100% agree with you! In fact so does someone else who just posted this:

We dont make a ton of money but we stay home.
But then again, we dont go out often, we save save save... and sold off a lot of our "things"

So i can stay home.
Besides what I would make would bearly cover child care and maybe a days worth of food....

So i stay home.
we make it work... its hard and a lot of stuff is given up. No new animes except at x-mas.
No gaming, No eating out more than maybe once a week, when my mom pays lol... It sucks sometimes but i'd rather my kid be near me all day driving me nuts and not paying other people and living more simply, than working a crap job.

But Not all feminists are "let women work" well all the ones i know are let women do what ever they want, stay home, work, school ect.

Our obsession with THINGS is what makes us poor... i should know >> i saved up just to get that stupid Collectors edition Elder scrolls online.

And we had to give up moutain dew and juice now that we have a new car. :/ Life sucks but if you really want to stay home you could give up so so so much.

To get a house we lived in a cramped 400 sq foot apartment for 2 years.
I wish I could like that 5 times.

Totally! Maybe it'll get through to her but I kind of doubt it. This girl also bred her poorly bred pit bull (but she's blue!) and got excited when she found out I have a male Brittany because she has an intact female Britt... not so interested once she found out he's neutered

A very special project that has has been in the works for months was supposed to be completed this week. It's going to be delayed by a few months, which I understand but it's still disappointing. Only positive is I know when it's finished it will be PERFECT!

Had a crappy day in general.

But, Teen Wolf finally downloaded on my idiotPod, and oh my gods. Poor Stiles. I knew this season was gonna suck for him :( Also, I don't like Allison and have no clue wtf Isaac sees in her. But Kira seems nice. Twins are cute. I just have a lot of omg Stiles running through my head. Nice, distracting episode though.

Darn shame it's not distracting enough.

I had super bad dream this morning where Blackie and Rose were both still alive, but both old and severely ill, and we let them outside and they almost froze to death in the snow. They were so far gone we had to euthanize both of them.

WHY DO I KEEP HAVING DREAMS WHERE MY DOGS ARE ALIVE AND THEN I HAVE TO MAKE THE DECISION TO EUTHANIZE THEM ALL OVER AGAIN?

Blackie has been gone for over three years now. Rose has been gone for almost a year. ENOUGH ALREADY.

I miss my dogs. :(

Lots of snow. Lots and lots of snow. All the schools are closed. Courthouse is closed. Hospital is closed.
But MY work? NOPE!
I texted my co-worker that they hadn't plowed out my street and I didn't know if I could make it. He texted me backed "Okay, don't get stuck trying to get out." Uhhh? What did I just say???

So I kept digging. Got the car unburied, got the driveway cleared... got in the road... drove in other people's tire tracks (next door neighbour has a nice big truck so he almost always makes it out) to the end of the road... stuck. Stuck. STUCK. The main road is right there. Riiiiight there.
Back up, try it again. Nope. Switch gears. Try again. Nope. Back up, try again... and again... try again... nnnnnnnope.
I was about to back all the way down the road and pull back in the drive but decided to try it one more time. Got it. okay.
Got to the intersection... WHAT. They plowed the road straight but didn't plow the turn. Oooookay... so... okay? I drive into the middle of the intersection and turn there where it's clear. A guy in a van coming the way I was turning was very nice and stopped WAY back so I had plenty of room in case I slid. Okay, no problems. It's just total *&(!.
Finally got to work. Walked in and my co-worker went "Oh I thought you weren't coming in."
......what.

I texted my friend and told him to be really careful. He texted me back and said "I'll go back to being careful as soon as I get unstuck. Again. I slid onto a side street." That was forty minutes ago... he's still not here. I'm trying not to worry about him, he's a big boy and he has lived here his entire life so he knows to drive slowly. But I can't help it.
There is no reason at all ANY of us should have tried to make it in today.

BUT WE ARE HERE TO SELL COMPUTER MEMORY.
THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

eta: friend just made it here. he is okay. had a very harrowing drive though. but he's here.

I am surprised that more people in that area don't own large 4x4 trucks ... I would.
They are expensive to drive most the year, especially if you have a commute. Not really practical for the few times a year you may get snowed in in most areas IMO if you don't have other purposes for it (or just dont want one)

That being said, I do have a 4wd SUV but thats because we use it for many things. My husband is the primary driver of it because he just goes to work and back which is short no highway commute. I use the Volt for all my running around errands and for our car for trips etc.

gas is expensive if you are sitting in traffic on a highway is what I meant. Its often not a practical choice for many families or people.
