I fly back to the frozen tundra tonight. It is so cold there today that they cancelled school and Buzz is staying at boarding another night. Nobody is going anywhere they don't have to!

Waaaah! Can't I just have Tim and all my friends and animals and stuff shipped here?!

She fed me burgers and fries and bought me coffee creamer. We're even. :rofl1: Seriously though, she's safe and un-raped and that's all I'm worried about.

The bolded bit is how I felt about everyone else who came. No one else intervened - even the other sober person. Although he did toss her drink, so points for that. What on earth would have happened if BOTH of us got drugged that night?

When I was on the phone with the ex-bf today telling him about it, he made the point that we hang out with a lot of winners. At the moment, I'm inclined to agree. Not everyone saw what was happening, but those who noticed did nothing.
Holy f$ck! So glad you're okay Zoom!

Kitty litter is great for traction on slippery outdoor steps and driveways but holy crap I'm NEVER using it again.

We got a big snowstorm the day before we had to get Brian to the hospital for 5:30 AM. We were out of icemelt and so were all the stores. So I grabbed a big box of table salt and kitty litter. Worked great... UNTIL.....

The snow melted and turned the kitty litter into an unrelenting SLUDGE. it would just cake onto the bottom of your shoes and no amount of stomping, wiping, banging off the shoes, scraping the kitty little off the driveway... nothing would get rid of it. It's EVERYWHERE. My van is a bloody mess, our floors were covered in it, everywhere we went we tracked it with us, Hannahs stuffed animals that she carries around were covered, her booster seat was covered. It's just EVERYWHERE.

I finally had a meltdown yesterday and went out in below freezing weather and turned on the hose (it's in the garage and luckily hadn't frozen over) and sprayed down the steps and the entire driveway. I'm finally rid of it. I probably looked like a crazy person but I think it's finally gone. I've washed ALL the shoes, cleaned the floors and washed all the stuff that was covered in it and I think it's finally gone. I hope

You know what works really well for traction is ashes. Like, fireplace/fire pit ashes. I never would have guessed it but when I was waaay up north last fall in snowy/slippery conditions someone helped me out of a jam with them and it was AMAZING. You could probably use ashes from a charcoal grill, too, I would imagine.

Fish was one of the people who noticed and didn't do anything.

I think hanging out with the one dude again is off of my to-do list. Never mind how many drinks are involved. I can't prove anything but I'm suspicious enough.
I just talked to Clif and he thinks he was spiked as well. A is certainly a douche, but now I'm thinking it was one of the random strangers at the apartment before we even made it to the bar.

Holy f$ck! So glad you're okay Zoom!

Sparks -- what kind of kitty litter was it? We keep clay litter around for the same reason and have never had that problem.

Justin Beiber has been arrested for DUI and thanks to being famous, he will probably get off with a slap on the wrist instead of blyetting the book thrown at him and getting to be someone's bitch in jail like he deserves.

And to all those people screaming for his release? Just ... Stop! He needs to be held accountable! This sends a message to young people!

Exactly why we don't use it.

We used ashes from the wood stove on the driveway growing up. Does it track, tho? I grew up on a farm, so our boots came off as soon as we came in the back door, and my folks weren't big on cleaning the interior of the vehicles.

I AM FREEZING.

Omigod, it is so cold outside. It is supposed to be -13* when I get up tomorrow morning to go to work...and that doesn't include the wind chill.

Plus, my electric bill almost tripled due to the freaking heat I'm having to run to keep my apartment at 68*.

WHY IS IT SO COLD.

I hate annoying telemarketers! Since being on the National Do Not Call List I rarely get telemarketing calls anymore, but today I've gotten 3 from the same company (all from different numbers) in the last hour.

Honestly telemarketers, harassing me every 20 minutes is not going to make me want to buy something from you!

Can we just skip the whole W2 thing and the tax man can just call me and say "Go guess what, you don't make any money, you don't have any money, and you're definitely not getting any back from the government"?

Today was like.... worst day ever. I am physically and emotionally exhausted. 5 euthanasias in one afternoon (IN A ROW) is way, way too much.

Brooks has the vomits and the blahs. He had fluids, a famotidine injection and some send out bloodwork. He did manage a few circles and jumping up on the garage door when I got home from a quick errand, so hopefully he's feeling better. No food or water for a day, though, as I let him have water when we got home from work as he had not vomited since this morning and that was a horrible mistake :(

I'm not used to seeing my Poodle recline and be quiet. It's eerie. He's never quiet.

It is COLD!!! We are only supposed to get into the 40's tomorrow with more of the same crap we had last week ... The cold weather can go back up north K THX
Its needs to go FAR FAR FAR up north. Cause the the cold is already up north from you. Here at 8 am it is -7 with a wind chill of -28. I am trying to figure out when the heck I moved to Alaska?

My weather related vent is similar. It needs to warm up. The kid is on day2 this week of no school. So between the Cold day friday, yesterday and today. She has essentially had a 5 day weekend. Since going back to school after the holidays, they have not had 1 full week of school this month. And the month is almost over.

I'm just going to echo everybody else, BALLS it is cold out there.

The kids here are going to be in school until mid-June or something for all the days they've been closed due to the extreme temps.
