Yes, she says she's very sad and needs lots of touching.

I will give her that. Girl knows how to work it to her advantage.

If it were just her weight, it wouldn't be so bad, but she just... feels and looks like crap. *sigh* Hopefully I'll get some news tomorrow.
Poor girly :(

Please let us know when you do!

My vent?

I don't have enough money to quit my job. Even temporarily. I really want a few week downtime and then a bit of time to figure out what I actually want to do, but I just don't have the ability to do it.

I think that at that point I would cut my losses & just get a new one, you could put it on lay away & pay on it that way.

I feel you, I had a reeeeeally old computer many, many moons ago with the old tube-style monitor ... the computer itself was fine but the monitor started going out & by that time all that could be found was flat screens ... which my dino computer was not compatible with.

So I put a new computer (the cheapest I could find for what I needed) & paid on it gradually & prayed I could pay it off before my old monitor kicked it completely.
I've considered that, but at this point I'm trying to make it last. A new computer is around $250-$300 and I'm trying to save up for a car since it's also dying...not to mention I need a weighted blanket ASAP and that's $200-$400. I don't have the money now. Yeah, it's on its way out, but if I can keep it cool and operational just a little longer it will be much better timing.

My sister and I had agreed a while ago that there would be no smoking in the house. She has since stopped taking whatever medication she was on and has started smoking regularly again. Sooo now she smokes in the house. She doesn't see it as being inside, because she does step out onto the deck. Except she lights the cigarette in the kitchen and takes her time actually getting out the door. And she leaves the screen open, so the smoke just ends up blowing right back into the house anyway. It's driving me f***ing crazy. Talking to her about it hasn't done a thing to help.

She also smokes in her bedroom. Sure, it's her room, but the smell doesn't just stay in her room. I've called her out on it too many times to even count. She keeps saying that she's not going to smoke in there, but never stops.

Katem, whose house is it? If you're renting, your landlord probably has policies about it. At the very minimum, they must have a cleaning stipulation--and the cost to get smoke out of carpets and walls isn't cheap (if it's even possible).

If you own, whose name is on the mortgage?

That would be a huge deal breaker for me...and I'd be looking to move out (or kick her out) and find a non-smoking roommate.

/I rent and in my last building you forfeit your entire security deposit if the apartment smells of smoke. It costs that much to get the smell out..

I would talk to her about cutting it out and paying to have the place cleaned. I get its an addiction but that really sucks and that smell is awful

It's a bit complicated since we co-own the house. Both of our names are on the deed and we pay an equal amount for the utilities/taxes. Still, it's gross.
