I talked to John Amos a couple of times on the phone (my husband used to have coffee with him and did some work for him when we lived at a camp). I used to run into him in the supermarket every once in awhile, too. I've also met former NY Giants players Phil Simms and Eric Howard (they were still playing when I met them). Does anyone remember the lawyer William Kunsler? We used to see him every once in awhile when we visited my folks (one of his daughters was friends with my youngest sister). Oh yea- we met the country singer Lee Greenwood at one of his concerts last year, too.

I had quite a few celebs on the airplane while I was a Flight Attendant.

Sissy Spacek
Louis Gosset Jr.
Phil Donahue
Randy Travis
Danny Kaye
Marian (can't remember her last name, the mom on Happy Days)

Also saw Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland in the restaurant at Logan in Boston.

All these people were very nice, normal, like regular people.

Also had Jimmy Dean on several times, and he was a jerk every time.

I met Mel Gibson at my brothers soccor game. He was bald at the time so I didn't recognize him at first. Seemed like a nice guy, lol.

I met the pony-tail girl from Napolian Dynomite. She's really, really sweet. We talked for a bit and complimented eachothers clothes, etc LOL. I met her at TGI Fridays. She signed my napkin but I lost in now.

I went to a private school with Dr. Dre's son. He was a nice kid. He died just recently :(

Beaver from Leave it to Beaver(Yes that OLD Disney movie) was my brothers friend. LOL! He was at our house a couple times for paint balling.

I do have a funny story though!

My dad was on an airplane with William H. Macy and my dad walks over to him and says "You work at suchsuch(company where my dad works), don't you? You look so familiar!" And he goes "No but I've been in some movies, you've might of seen me from there!" LOL! My Dad was so embarrassed!

Oooh..

Penelope Keith, she handed me my award at college..
Lenny Henry
Dawn French
Paul and Helen (the dizzy welsh one) from Big Brother (not that I am proud, he just happens to be the brother of a friend)
Eric Clapton (He's a friend of my uncles, they went to school together)

And there's probably others, that I have forgotten about, but will come back and add to.

Too much fun...

I went on a few dates in the late eighties with Jesse Borrego who played Jesse Velasquez on the TV show Fame.

Had dinner with Prince. Yes, kind of creepy and he just picked me, long story.

Nick Bockwinkle, the old pro-wrestler...not sure if that counts. :rofl1:

Way too many musicians before they were famous due to my old addiction to the First Avenue music scene.

It's been many, many years since I have met anyone famous...except Jesse the body Ventura (MN's old Govenator) at a dog show and Forrest Whittaker at LAX en route from a dog show.

Oops, and Alexei Mishin.

Oh, and I met Tom Clancy. He's a jerk.

Yep, same guy. Same guy who wrote all those books too. Unfortunately, he's not a very nice person. I actually know someone who works with him on his games and knows him much better than I do (I only met him once) and its confirmed . . .he's a jerk.

Jack Johnson's wife was my freshman math teacher in high school. She used to give her TA's free tickets to his shows. Best part though, is he would always play our lunchtime talent shows as the "guest star" :)

Then he got really famous after a year or two and they moved back to Hawaii. Booo.

One time I saw Brad Pitt in Costco. He looked like he hadn't showered in 2 days and was wearing a hat and giant dark sunglasses inside. I didn't go up to him though, 'cause I was way too shy!

Oh I can't even count them all! lol I've met a lot of somewhat famous people. A lot of authors. A lot of motivational speakers and of course a lot of politicians. I suppose the most famous was Robert Redford as a kid. He was horse back riding and we ran across him. We didn't say anything to him then but he was at the same restaurant as us later that day so we went up to him. This was in the 80s. He was wearing shorts and had skinny little legs :rofl1:

ETA: Oh and I also talked to one of the Canadian Idol judges. He's too cool. hee hee

I introduced Jane Goodall before she gave a talk and partied with Gwar on their tour bus in D.C. (sounds more fun than it was).

Also, I used to take care of Mike from Greenday's dog so I know him pretty well... he was one of my first customers and still wears a bracelet I made him from his old dog's harness after he passed away.

My ex used to be one of the kids hanging out in the background on Kids Incorporated, does that count :rofl1:

I've mostly just met sports folk-- Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Carlos Gomez, and Denard Span of the MN Twins... and Manny Fernandez when he was the goalie for the MN Wild.

I've met some bands, too: Four Year Strong (twice), Sing It Loud, and Forever The Sickest Kids.
