Chip and I are pretty tolerate with the mini poodle next door. He always gets out of their yard and of course is a big dog in a little suit. He's a normal small dog.... yippy and nippy.... he got so aggressive yesterday when Chip was doing his morning paper fetch,,poor Chip cowered next to me rather than his happy dance to the front door. He knows he could put this pup down .... but that would mean dropping the paper !!

I would open your gate and open the small door to your garrage and put food in there. Like meat or something. Keep your boys in the house. Once they are in the garrage then call the HS and tell them you caught three mean dogs in your garrage who have been tormenting your dogs ;)

Or once they are in the garrage put a crate in there with more food in it and when they are in the crate shut the door and wisk them off to the HS.

What a wonderful idea. I bet it would work too... another idea is I bet they would fit into a cat trap that the humane society could indeed loan you... that or just call the humane and tell them when to stop by( at a time when the dogs are out) and then they can catch the dogs themselves and see the lady sitting on her @$$ not doing anything... and then Bingo! problem solved!!

Be careful whatever you do. Like Renee said, you don't want this woman trying to "get even" with you by hurting Zeus or Voodoo. Sounds like she doesn't even care for her own dogs, so why would she mind hurting or worse, poisoning yours?
I can't stand owners of little dogs that act like this. It is so annoying and I see it all the time at work. I go to pick one up and the dog will attempt to bite me. The owner laughs and says, "Fido, be sweet." What is so hard about being a good dog owner and actually taking the time to train?

Well, it happened. My husband finally lost his temper.

The chihuahuas were at it again, at 7:30 a.m. My boys were inside, but the pesky chis were still barking at the gate outside. Which of course set my boys off. So there went another morning of sleep. As I got up to tell the boys enough, I could hear the chihuahuas running to other gates in the neighborhood and getting those dogs worked up.

Hubby snarled a few obscenities, threw on some clothes and stormed out the door, saying something about "kicking the &%^$ out of those *^%ing chihuahuas."

Instead, he ended up walking to the neighbor's house, about five houses down. And he rang the doorbell. Over and over and over and over. A baby in the house started screaming, and the woman finally came and answered the door. She was mad and snapped, "Can I help you? You woke our whole house up!"

Hubby just about bit her head off. "Yeah, well your f***ing chihuahuas have been waking up my house every **** morning. And all the neighbors, too. They keep going up to my house and my neighbor's houses, setting our dogs off and waking up everybody. Keep your f***ing dogs in the house or in your yard."

The woman looked extremely offended and was about to snap something back, but hubby interrupted her. "Don't even get mad at me. You're lucky I haven't called animal control and had those dogs picked up." Then he stormed off without waiting for a reply.

*sigh* I was hoping to settle this without an incident like this. But I guess hubby decided otherwise.

I hope nothing bad comes of this.

Maybe hubby did the right thing, she did need a wake up call. Now she is aware there is a problem.

On the flip side, if you do have to call animal control, she will no who did it. However, if your husband is like mine...he won't care if she knows, and you will be the one that worries about retaliation from the lady.

LOL! Go Hubby! I'm sorry but I would have probably done the same thing your husband did. Let us know how it turns out. what a rotten dog owner that lady is.

Lmao- Go hubby!! Yay!

I have to add though, that I would have also told her that on every single morning that her dogs woke me up, I was going to come over there and lean on her bell until HER WHOLe house was awake too!!

That would have probably gotten her notice...lol...seeing at how she hates being woken up!!

Also I suggest just nabbing the dogs at this point. Any way you can. Do tell her you are going to do it. Just do it. Probablt best to do it in the morning.

Is she doesn't see you do it she can't prove squat!! And it sounds as if she never is up that early.

I like the idea of waking her up every morning her dogs wake you up. If she didn't like it this morning, she sure as hell won't like it any other morning. :)
That sounds like something my hubby would do! LOL...you can only deny a man his sleep for so long before he snaps!

Good luck catching the little buggers.

If you do catch those little Devils, before you take them to Animal Control replace their name tags (assuming they are wearing any) with tags you made up yourself. Make your tags with a far away address, say Fairbanks Alaska (unless of course you live in Fairbanks, then put Miami on their tags). With any luck you'll never see them again, except in pictures stapled up on the phone poles in your neighborhood.

Honestly since you already spoked with her before and she did not care, obviously it did not sink in. Some people need someone screaming in there face to realize that they need to do something about the situation or else!

This way she is warned and now when she has to pay to get her dogs out she will now why. Many times people like this will probably not pay to get the dogs back and they can be trained for a real home.

I hope that she does not try and retaliate though..., I would be very careful of your dogs for the next few weeks at least just to make sure.

These little dogs have no collars or tags (of course). And I think one visit to animal control would do it. The way things work in my town, it would cost her a ton of money. *evil laugh*

First, if your dogs have no proof of shots, you have to pay to get their shots done (full price, no discounts). If they're not registered with the city, you have to pay for registration. And if they're not spayed or neutered, you either have to pay to get them spayed/neutered, or plunk down extra money for a "breeding license." Oh, and you also have to pay a boarding fee for each day the dog is at the kennel. And on top of that, there's a fine.

On a sidenote, there were no chihuahuas this morning. Maybe she finally got the message. But I think I'll reserve judgement and see what the next few weeks brings.

No sign of them yet! Our other neighbors reported that they haven't seen them either.

The little twerps were back this morning! At 7 a.m., they were barking at the gate. I freaked out, of course. I'm trying very hard to deal with Voodoo's budding dog aggression problem (he doesn't like male dogs), and this is not helping.

And it gets worse. Voodoo is now trying to jump the fence. He almost made it over this morning. It's so frustrating. When those chihuahuas aren't there, he's content to stay in the yard with no problems. But when they're at the gate, Voodoo tries to get out and drive them off.

I didn't know if those chihuahuas would come around again after I left for work, so I had to leave Voodoo in his crate inside. Poor baby.

I called animal control again. They said that they can do nothing unless they actually catch the chihuahuas in the act. So it's basically a dead-end trying to go that route.

I am so mad I can't see straight. I work hard teaching my dogs manners, and these two f***ing chihuahuas are doing their best to undo all my efforts. If this keeps up, I'm afraid that Voodoo will become a dog-aggressive fence jumper.

Update: Got in contact with Animal Control again. I gave them the lady's address, and they're going to send someone to check it out. I hope this fixes the problem! *fingers crossed*

That is a complete bull****!!! i know how frustrating that must be  . I hate neighbours like that and i'm so happy I've always had really friendly ones. Untill some new ones moved in 6 months ago. They have a German Shepherd and the poor boy was left outside barking every night! I told the woman we can't handle it anymore and ever since he was sleeping inside.

Good luck, i hope it will sort itself out! :)
