I'm thinking of applying for an office specialist position, and if I get the job, taking Logan with me to the interview. For the shiggles mainly, but also because if I somehow actually GOT the job, it would be good money until I can find the right zoo job. It's a mental health facility, and I do have a psych degree in addition to the zoo degree, after all. Plus Logan could be an asset in that case. Last time I interviewed with this place, it was a group interview, and one guy said "I have depression" and basically was handed the job.

I just need to get the balls to actually do it.
Do it do it do it!

I just applied (they use the same application as the zoo, so I already had everything filled out), so now I just have to wait and see what happens.

Additional musing: My current supervisor seemed genuinely SHOCKED when I told her I didn't get the zoo job I just interviewed for (she made some very loud noises of disapproval lol). At least she thinks highly of me? The offer from her of full-time employment if I can find a grant to cover it still stands. I just need to find that magical $36,000 grant. I have three people constnatly telling me they'd hire me in an instant...problem is, there are no openings! Come on people, quit already! lol

Today I ran into a guy I went to school with. Back then he was a weird kid who was very late to hit puberty and talked about goats all the time. He asked me out twice and I said no both times.
Now he is. . .hot. Very, very hot. And he didn't make a peep about goats. I would do anything to jump those bones.

As long as you weren't rude to him, I say go for it. If you were awful to him, back away slowly.

I was the only girl who was ever nice to him. :( No one else ever took the time to see he was sweet and never had anything bad to say about anyone.
I would go for it, except thanks to my bulimia my teeth are breaking/falling out and it's really the opposite of attractive. I probably would not find it pleasant to kiss a guy with messed up teeth like mine. I'm pretty sure I'm going in for a long period of celibacy until I get them fixed.

I find it really amusing (geeeeet it?) how if you use certain ways of saying hello and goodbye to people, they start copying you. I always say see ya or see you later and now I have started a little population of people that will see me later lol.

I hope I didn't just contract rabies or some other disease.
I was trying to rescue a mouse from the jaws of my cat and it bit me hard enough to draw blood.

If it makes you feel better, it is very very very rare for rabies to be found in small rodents. =P

Mouse bites suck, though. Ouch.

Yes, rabies is very rare indeed in the tiny creatures. They don't get bitten and live to tell the tale, lol.

LOL that's true, I didn't even think about it like that.

I called my doctor and she still wants me to go and get a tetanus shot, though. The office also wanted me to bring in the mouse for an autopsy. Little bugger got away and still alive, though. I'm glad it's alive, I was trying to save it after all, I just wish it wasn't loose in the house, lol.

Doorbell rings at 10:25 PM. I figure it's the kids next door messing with us and open the door into the mudroom and release Middie first, where he pelts into the door barking and growling like a little demon.

I turn the light on and see my next door neighbor standing there. As soon as I shush Middie he zips his mouth and retreats back into the house. GOOD DOG. All perfect behavior.

She explains that her garage is broken, and we try to figure out how to fix it, but then her son came home and he did it for us instead!

I came back inside and Middie is laying down patiently inside the house, just waiting. He got a lot of cookies. :)

I think he only does this stuff for me. Everyone else he's an uncontrollable, manner-less nightmare for.

I was going to go to the gym after work, except SWAT was blocking off that neighborhood as they conducted a manhunt. o_O

I'm making yogurt for the first time and the milk is taking FOREVER to heat up! Next time I'll use a thick bottomed pot instead of the crock pot, I think. Good thing I was planning on staying up late anyway.

I'm pretty excited for my yogurt, though!

I am *so broke* it's just... unbelievable. Can't wait till I start the new job and, more importantly, get my first paycheck.

I've been doing a lot of art lately and am considering offering up cheap cartoon-y pet portrait commissions to supplement till then.

Why does vodka always seem a good idea the night before? I need to get up to feed dogs and horses but right now if I move I'll be sick. Someone come do it for me?

The good:
1.) I'M DONE DRIVING. THANK GOD.
2.) My doggies! :D
3.) 18 more days until I get to see Mike again!

The bad:
1.) I'm now back in gross weather. Ew. I swear, there was NO snow in MO or IL...none, even, until I got off the interstate and into my county. Then it was like ALL THE SNOW. AND ICE. EVERYWHERE.
2.) I have to make the drive AGAIN in 18 days. Not looking forward to it. Driving 6.5 hours by yourself sucks.
3.) Mike still hasn't gotten his orders, although it feels like everyone else in his class has. Come on, now.

The indifferent:
1.) I may be able to move down with him next month. Which is AWESOME - if it can happen. Waiting sucks. If it can happen, I want to start making arrangements now...but I won't know if it can happen until it's happening. My poor landlord and coworkers are going to get crap for notice if it happens.
