As some of you know, Sada and her English Setter Jack visited us this weekend. Jack is a 2 year old intact male, and while he submits to Ronin we were always careful to keep them separated, since Ronin has always been DA to other males. Granted, Ronin has always been very biddable and under control as long as he was on a leash - you'd never know he was DA unless an idiot dog ran up to him and caught him off guard.
But since Ronin was neutered, we figured it would be worth a shot to try Ronin and Jack together at our semi-private dog park. Jack has known Ronin his whole life, and Ronin has never really minded Jack. They could be walked together with no problems, and this winter Jack was actually offleash around a leashed Ronin.
Sooo... off we went to the dog park!
Jack says, "I missed this place!"
"Ooh look! A bird! Or... is it a plastic bag? Oh I don't know, it doesn't matter!"
Crazy boys, I'll just stand here by myself!
"See? I've got a tennis ball, that's all I need..."
