the joy of summer..

sun, sun, sun.. no school! And then, of course.. during summer there are hoardes of mosquitoes! Yes, this thread is to rant on mosquitoes! Because I hate them. I've got about 6 bites on my left arm, 4 on my right, and 2 on my leg! The only good thing I can say about mosquitoe bites are that they feel SOOOOOOOo good when I scratch them.. I know it's bad to scratch it but its like heaven, lol. Especially when you shower the water just jets onto the bites.
I honestly don't understand how they can bite me at night. I mean I have those nets on my windows and I spray the bug killer before I sleep. Yet I wake up to 3 brand spanking new red bumps. And how come they don't bite my dog! He sleeps near me!

I also remember reading or seeing on TV that the mosquitoes are either..
1) the most deadly .. something in the world
or it was that 2) mosquitoes are the cause of most deaths in the world. Can't remember either one.

Anyone ever seen a mosquitoe bite you before? Lol.

That sounds like me, I think I had 15 bites at one time last year. But I've seen no mosquitoes this year, yay!

i think my neighbor has an untreated pond for it hasn't rained (until this morning) for 20 some odd days yet you can go out at noon and in the full hot sun a dozen or more are buzzing you with seconds. It is keep moving or you'll be drained dry. Worse yet not only do they carry heartworms but now they carry west nile. I have found bird after bird dead in my yard this summer without a single thing visibly wrong.
I think they are hatching under my house as well for i have the air on, the windows shut and STILL i kill one or two inside every few hours. WE use to have just these bitty tiny ones that granted were a nuisance but nothing like these hummingbird sized white striped basta2ds we have now! First time i saw one i drew it because i couldn't believe what i was seeing..it was a monster! Little did i know what was to come...more and more and more and more.....

I noticed earlier in the year there were a LOT more than last year. Mid-day wasn't so bad but the evenings were quite intolerable.

I know how you feel, I was bitten yesterday and now my hand has swollen up to a huge size and it aches all over.....mosquitoes are SO annoying!

I hate mosquito bites to...I'm really allergic to them, and I get these really big, hard itchy bumps....and they itch like crazy. You're right though...it feels soooooooooooo good to scratch them!!
