Got an awesome compliment from one of the head trainers tonight at a group class we're teaching. I've kind of taken over one of the students in a CGC one class with a very reactive dog who cannot be IN our classroom or we can't hear because she's screaming all the time.
ANYWAY... I've been helping them separately, mostly because I've dealt with a lot of dog-dog behavior and a TON of reactivity in my own dogs already and the head trainer doesn't have a lot of hands on experience with it.
So as we're walking out after class she told me I was doing a really awesome job already and worked them through a lot for only being with the training company for a short while and that the progress I made with Frag was so astounding that she knew I would be an invaluable asset to the group.
Made my **** night to hear someone tell me how better Frag has gotten, and that I'm doing a good job doing what I love! I get to take complete control of this dog next week and work out my own "reactivity class" agenda... which will include Recon and clickers, so I'm sure he's excited about that.
