Well I don't know if I'll get the internship I was hoping for. Boo!

BUT I am still holding out some hope! I should know definitely by early next week.

He has another intern that came to speak with him before me, which he was going to take, but he hasn't heard anything back from her yet. If she is still a no-show by then, he said he would probably take me. He just couldn't have two interns at one time (it's a small independent pharmacy).

FINGERS CROSSED!

Got out of work early, played in the snow with all of the dogs and now I'm cuddling on the couch with a big ol' Badger head on my lap keeping me warm. Makes for a very happy person right now.

The only good thing that's happened today: I ordered three new books from Barnes and Noble with a Christmas giftcard. The rest of the day has been absolutely horrible. But at least I have new books coming!

Thanks! This is at a very small, newly-AZA-accredited zoo about an hour away. They have a very small staff, and if everything goes well, it could be exactly what I need right now :) I'd have to commute for a couple months, but once I get back on my feet I'd move into the county it's located in, and possibly the city itself (which is still a small city. But they have a kennel club!)

That sounds awesome... Something you could grow with!

Good luck!

Home from an incredible week in Cuba (Varadero/Havana), and home to happy pets courtesy of JessLough being awesome.

I have almost 300 photos to edit. I'll be sure to share the best of them in a thread here, especially of Havana. That city is mindblowing.

My mother in law and her husband LOVED seeing the cars, thought it was amazing seeing the old cars in like new shape.

I agree, SO many old American cars everywhere you go. But "like new shape" is certainly up to opinion, haha. Cuban mechanics are strange sort of wizards, since they don't usually have access to car parts they are often building car parts from scratch, and loading them into these old cars to keep them running. They look great, but when they run they sound and feel like death. :rofl1: Our cab rides were brutal!

Dropped Huck off at 7:15am for her spay. Vet called me at 10 to say she was done and all went well. She's in great shape, though somewhat constipated so he gave her an enema to help with that since the pain meds can cause/exacerbate it.

I can pick her up anytime after 3.
