^^That is so awesome, Sael!

I just had one of the happiest customers I've had in a while. I mean, she is ECSTATIC with her new car. She hugged me before she left and is going to write a glowing review and such. :D

I had a very good visit with my grandmother today. :) She's had a few strokes and we went to visit in September and she did not speak or do anything the entire time. I didn't even know if she was aware we were there until we left and she said 'don't go'. I seriously left thinking I would never see her again that day and it ripped me apart.

But today she was talking (albeit only when asked questions and talked to). She told some hilarious stories and was laughing at everything. I was talking to my uncle that lives in town and he said these kinds of days are very rare with her. Most days she doesn't talk or seem to understand anything going on.

When we left she started crying though about us leaving and once again it ripped my heart out. I wish I lived closer but it is a full day trip to see her and there's usually no way to know if she will even know you're there. She did not remember us coming up in late september at all and was upset we hadn't come to visit since last christmas (she thought even though we've visited a few times). This kind of stuff is hard. And that nursing home is depressing.

That's kind of depressing for the good news thread, sorry. I'm just really happy I got to see her again and also got to see her on a good day.

Lots of great news!

1) I got my official admittance email for Acadia this coming fall! I need to send in my mid-year transcript before the process is complete but I see my marks going up, if anything. So I'm super excited about that! I was set on a university in Ontario until I went on a tour... so in love with this school!

2) I hung out with a guy I've been texting with for a little over a month... we have so much in common and never run out of things to talk about... even with abnormally long text messages, so I'm super happy that we got along just as well in person. Originally we were going to go to the movies, but it's been -30 and below lately so my mom suggested he came here to watch movies so that's what we did. Lots of laughs and we both had a good time so I'm hoping we do it again! Only bummer is that he wants to go to a university outwest. But that's almost a positive because the last two guys I've had things with had no future plans or anything, so I'm just impressed that he cares about his future.

So that's my good news for the week!

FINALLY TESTDRIVING!

We're going to a VW and a Subaru dealer (if we both like the Subarus, I'll have to ask you guys a bazillion questions, the only reason we're going is because of all the awesome things I've heard here).

Excited (and kind of sick about having a car payment again soon)!

Ask away! Nolu can fill you in better on the VW side, but there are very few people out there who can best my knowledge on the Subarus.

(honestly not bragging just for the h*ll of it--I constantly surprise my customers because they've been going around to dealerships and none of the other sales people know the answer to their quetsions).

I'm happy. I met someone on New Years. Son of people who are in my poker league. It's been a good start to 2014 so far.

This is why my coworkers are cool!

One of them bought this ornament for me and gave it to me today (I haven't seen her since before Christmas). She knows how much I like A Christmas Story so when she saw it she thought of me. How nice is that?? It's like something my mom would do or a very close friend!

Pretty pumped to put that bad boy on my tree next year. I already have the matching lamp on my nightstand. :p

We upgraded computers at work and THEY'RE NOT WINDOWS 8!! WOOOO!

Now I just need to relearn how to do the computer portion of my job, fix all the now-broken templates, find stuff that has gone missing, coax programs to work together again...

Also, IT'S SHERLOCK DAY! AGAIN!

I'm jealous! We start moving on Tuesday or Wednesday. We rented a usual truck to put our boxes in so we could be a bit prepared...now it's -44 so that's not happening.
Oh yuck! Thankfully our new house is only about 10 minutes away from our last one so we were just able to take small loads at a time.

Good luck! Such a relief just to have the livable stuff in (matress, kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom).

Zoom is my favorite person ever.

She brought me Gatorade and soup last night. First real food I've had since a burrito on Thursday morning. I'm not hurting as much today and didn't wake up with that hungover-feeling. I can even walk without falling!

Baby steps.

Ours is about 20 minutes, but it's cold lol. We got the truck so we can put the ready heater in it and at least have it sort of warm and maybe make only 1-2 trips instead of 15 lol.
