Zander has a new obsession with cough drops. He'll search the house, our room, try to get in the medicine cabinet. They don't have anything terribly harmful in them, but I can't imagine it is good for him either.

Wtf Zane. Cough drops?

Two more of the dogs from my center just "graduated" and are now living/training full time with their new handlers. So bittersweet - we had to clean out their crate baskets and put up their crates :(

I think I'm going to need to be committed when my fave boy graduates... I can't imagine not seeing him and working him daily... Anyone here want/need a wicked awesome SAR dog??? That way I could at least "know" who was taking him :p

Do they have menthol in them? My crew is really interested in my medicated lip balm and it has menthol and eucalyptus and I'm wondering if one of those is attracting them.

same here ... deep down I believe that I will end up with another ACD, but that doesn't keep me from looking at rotties or GSDs and going "hmmm" lol
A nice Rottie is a breathtaking dog, so I don't blame you :p That's one of the breeds that I keep saying to myself, "there's things there that you don't necessarily want!" but then I see a fantastic Rott and I lose the will to resist.

Aaaaand I'm sitting here trying to pluck up the courage to call the breeder. It's been over an hour. Why do I hate talking on the phone so much? This is something that I really want, and I've finally gotten contacted - by my top choice, no less! - and I'm so anxious. :(

Edit: I did it, I called, it was great. He was a very nice man, I was worried for nothing - I usually am! I swear, I'm not an anxious person most of the time but ask me to call someone...

Haha I very nearly had a panic attack when I called Feist's breeder for the first time. I didn't get them and left the most disjointed sounding voice message. Glad they didn't judge me for that. :p good that it went well!!

Oh I hate hate hate talking on the phone! Person to person is actually easier when I am talking because I can see the other person's body lingo ... On the phone I never know when to talk and I am afraid of talking over the other person lol.

I have actually been rejected by breeders because I was hesitant to talk on the phone, I just feel more comfortable texting or emailing. And some breeders take that as I am trying to hide something I guess.

Why do I always stress about adding a new dog with Mia? I know we'll eventually get through her hatred of... everything but I stress. If she could learn to coexist with the terrier who purposefully tried to **** her off, she can coexist with a nice dog.

I'm really freakin' sick of this submissive urination stuff.
I KNOW it's my fault for putting her in situations that time and experience has proven that she will urinate in, but 4:30am just petting her and she decides to use me to stretch on then empties her bladder on my newly washed comforter?
Back down to the laundry it goes!

Not something I wanted to have to deal with before work -_-

If I could change just one thing about you Rigby, despite ALL of your other issues, I think it'd be that. (Maybe that's just my exhausted brain talking though).

I feel your pain. Simi has done that to me, only she jumps up on the bed, on my face abd when I move her and tell her to get off she pee'd. She hasn't done that in a while. Lol. But will pee when my boyfriend talks to her sometimes, even if he's talking in a baby voice. Same with my mom. Just random new behavior in the last 9 months but she's doing it less and less now, thank god. Lol

I love getting to spend the day with Smiley. Even when it's -30 degrees and we stay in most of the day, just cuddling on the couch is the best.

How much yogurt should I be giving Joey a day? He is about 50lbs. Trying to stop his terrible gas issue.
I'd suggest starting small. Dairy doesn't agree with some dogs. I started adding a spoonful of yogurt to Jubel's meals and it ended up upsetting his stomach. Lots of lip smacking and licking everything.

Lol 2 years and she's gotten a bit better...I think. Either that or we've just learned to manage it and live with it?
It's such a pain, but it's become a part of life. Get pee'd on, shrug, scrub floor/change clothing/bedding, and go on with the day. When at first it was like "EWWW PEE"

I'm glad she's never done it just from people talking to her! Happy to hear Simi's doing it less frequently now!

Beautiful British Columbia!!
Just got back from picking Teagan up from the groomers. I am not happy with the results at all. Needless to say I am NOT going to her again. If you can't hand strip properly admit it and don't pretend you can.

It looks like she pulled no hair out of her coat. And all it looks like is she scissored the crap out of her face. I am so not happy. And she charges 30.00 an hour. She was grooming Teagan and hour an a half and she still charged me 60.00. Dhrhwmsj ****

End rant.

I know I trained Feist to like slamming /jumping into me so that I can grab a tug. And have encouraged it. But lady, must you take me by surprise and do it? She's only 20 lbs but ahhhhhhh flying puppy!!
