75 today!!!!! got lots of yard work to do. I am sure cold is coming but i stopped worrying about that and perriniels..they seem to be tough and can take it. Good grief i got a lot of work to do out there since they dug up everything replacing the water line. I do have enough space for three more flower beds. The temptation is going to be in not planting them too early..(again) I will scatter some marigold and bach button seeds..if they freeze i got plenty more where they came from. at 10 cents a package (and they do grow just as nice as the expensive ones) i can afford to be a little extravagant. Missouri here..for location.
We always get that last hard frost when the fruit trees are blooming, and especially when the beautiful tulip trees are just getting ready to do their splendor.
I think about one out of three years they get to finish blooming. Considering the warm trend who knows. Last year was a backward spring, this might be as well. I am going to hold off until April 1 to plant and use that growth harmone for the tomatoes that kelly used last year. She put her plants in way way later then i did. What i would have considered too late but she dusted the roots with this stuff and they were growing great guns before they had hardly hit the ground. She had tomatoes at the same time i did.
