I'm am super proud of Lucas right now!!!! I'm jsut really proud of him!!! You guys don't know how proud I am and it probably isn't that great, but it is a fantastic in my eyes!!!
I went outside with Lucas and these two girls (younger around 7 or 8 that I know from the back park) where out there and kept petting lucas through the fence. I found it super amazing that they asked if he was nice and if they could pet lucas before they stuck their hands in!!!! lol
Well they where petting him for some time and we where talking about just some things. They where really outgoing, but also very polite. Anyways, they said how big lucas was and how pretty he was and just kept going on with compliment and asked if he knew many tricks and I told them and they where like "woww!" lol. Anyways, they said "oh I have a husky! It's a girl and my brother is walking it did you see her?"
I said "no I haven't, and just asked if it had a blue eye"
They said yeah and patted lucas some more and asked if they could bring their husky to meet with him. Now Lucas in the past was attacked by a few dogs around here and is a little jealous when I pet the other dogs. Not to the point of attacking or anything, just like a growl or so. I've always been really nervous (since I could hold him if I really needed too, but I would slide a little in the dirt and I just didn't want anyone hurt) so I've always kept meetings with the dogs to very short "I sniff you, you sniff me" kind of sessions and then leave. lol (that's other than the great dane, but only cause they met that dog when I wasn't there lol) Anyways, I was really nervous about it, but decided it was through a fence and that he has never aactually acted aggressive to a dog to where he wanted to actually attack it and I though this would be a good trial kind of thing.
I told them there where some dogs he didn't like and they said "it's a female and she really likes other dogs can we try?" " I said sure just let me stand here *points at small hole in fence* to cover it up to make sure he doesn't get out."
They where like "ok our dog likes digging too" lol
Well they brought the dog over and it was a very pretty husky! Well they where suprisingly careful with the meeting. They brought the dog to the fence but far enough away from it that the dog was in Lucas' view, but not close enough for anything to go grab or scratch each other. lol Anyways, Lucas howled a really low howl, which is his normal voice. They jumped back cause their dogs voice is really high, but I told them that's his normal howl, nothing mean (I could tell also by his body language too). So they brought there dog closer and lucas kept howling (he's really vocal when it comes to other dogs) and then doing play bows and then running along the fence trying to entice her to play lol. Anyways, it was just really great to see!!!!
I was nervous cause I'm afraid of him getting into more fights (the other dogs where stray or running away from their owners that weren't on leash or friendly. and there was one that had the husky/malamute type of fur and I was scared of him associating that type of dog with being mean and then getting aggressive to it). But it was really nice to see!!!! Ok sorry it's so long I'm just so over joyed right now!!!!!!!
