I'm a little over-due for them.

My pretty, pretty little dog.

ZOMG! Sumthin's in there, mom!

Open sesame!

Help, pls?

Guys - I put Middie's big leather collar on loose for comfort, since it's pretty stiff, and the choke chain is back-up in case he slipped it. I was supervising the whole time, though, and everything was fine. The collars I usually use on the tie-out were in the wash, and I didn't have a martingale that I minded getting filthy at the time. Just wanted to explain the.. odd.. choice of collars for him, lol.

Zonked out in the sun..

He wouldn't pose nicely for me...

And was REALLY amused about it.

So, just because he was being a jerk, I give you this. *snicker*

Edit: Middie had a really busy day today. we went to the vets, they took blood... he was all stressed out.. then he and I waited for my dad to go grocery shopping, which took nearly two hours. We walked to Petco and met a LOT of people.. practiced some obedience in there.... he only tried to jump on two people and was very kind with the dog he met. It was great.

The BEST part? We met a little kid who had been bitten by a dog.. and he was very afraid of Midnight.. but with his mother and I encouraging him, he petted Middie and had a really good experience. That made my day.

He was so tired on the ride home he curled up in a ball at my feet and slept.

awww! I LOVELOVELOVE MIDDIE!
He's got such beautiful eyes!

Uh, I don't see anything odd about your collar choices. I use a choke collar as back for Ella (it's not chain, but that doesn't really matter) all the time.

those pictures are SPECTACULAR.

Aww, thanks, guys. :)

Ah.. they just looked really odd to me in person. =/ I didn't want to bring any of the nice ones out, though, and they were the only tie-out-safe collars I had. Oh, and you should see his eyes in person.. they are even better.. lol

Mrose, I got one at Petsmart and one at Petco.. I found a place near me that sells them cheaper, though.

ETA: Didn't see your post, Renee... yes, he does. I was lucky to get the ten or so decent pictures I did yesterday. Whenever he did something adorable (and seriously.. if I'd been quick enough I would have had some amazing pictures) or posed in a place under the pine tree with nice lighting he was up investigating something before I had enough time to pick up the camera.

He and Virgo have the same eyes...

I love how he's smiling at thwarting your picture taking abilities!

Amber, I plan on having you over when Charlie comes up here. :D We'll smuggle you over somehow for a few hours, I think.

Zoom, I know. :) I love that about those two. They are so similar, and at the same time very different. And hush you, smiler! He thought it was hilarious. Meh.. we had a nice time despite his lack of cooperation. I finished my book, and he got to dig holes.. it was all good.
