Logan's collar got here on Thrusday! I didn't have a chance to take decent pics until today, so here they are! It's a modified Traveler, but significantly changed up. It's done on blue bridle leather (and I LOVE this leather!). Timepiece conchos on either end, a sprocket in the middle, and spotty-wotty bits in between. It's his everyday working collar now, so I chose to go with a martingale. When I measured, I found his head is the same size as his neck - no wonder I prefer him in martingales! The collar is based on Doctor Who <3

Sprocket concho

The inside...I was hesitant to get an unlined collar for fear of the bits on the back sticking out. Gavroche's collar is suede-lined since he has a sensitive necks, so I didn't know how it looked underneath. Well, NOTHING is sticking out, it's perfectly smooth! The only exceptions are the concho screws, and they're smooth. They only "stick out" because of their size. The bits on the spots are all pretty well buried.

Spotty-wotty bits! The 1/4" spots are faceted. I absolutely love the faceted spots but I'm glad they only come in one size. The mix of textures is perfect, and I would have been tempted to get all faceted spots if they were available in all sizes!

Did I mention I love this leather? I was warned it would be stiffer initially and take longer to break in than Gavroche's latigo collar. It is a bit stiffer, but not too stiff, and it's very smooth, supple and shiny. I really love that the edges are brown, the contrast is wonderfull! That was the other thing I was watrned about -the color doesn't go all the way through, but that's actually one of the reasons I chose this leather (the other reason being it's blue lol)

Martingale chain. I was worried t'd be too short, but it's just right. Since the conchos are mixed metal, I decided to do brass spots even though the chain is silver. It worked out pretty well!

TIMEPIECE GEAR CONCHO!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Sprocket gear and spots

I tried to get some nice pictures of it ON the dog. But my dog only knows one setting for pictures: DERP! I swear he can be serious. Really.

DERP.

DERP!

Derp.

DERP.

Okay, slightly better!

I think this is abotu as good as we're going to get.

I think it looks so classy on him. The brass really pops with his tan points.

TOLD YOU he can be serious! Long down while I host open training for the club. Watching the rally ring.

Angry bird fetch in the training center! When nobody shows up for open training, you've got to pass the time somehow. That stupid annoying bird is his favorite toy.

Proof he's a boy. And he still gets called a girl at least once every time we're in public. HELLO, TESTICLES!

Gavroche knows how to derp too.

DERP.

Done!

Aww, these pictures are adorable! I especially love Logan - have you talked to Billy's handler, Kit, at all? She's only on Facebook right now, I think, but she loves talking to other smoothie handlers.

Thanks everyone! I've been incredibly pleased with all my Ella's Lead purchases, but this one tops them all! Gavroche's collar is a year old now, and it still looks great despite wearing it every day, being in the pool with it, me accidentally conditioning the suede (it's fine now, didn't hurt a thing), and him being a collar scratcher. Logan doesn't wear his 24/7, he's naked most of the time so I don't mess up his ruff.

Julee - I haven't heard of Billy or Kit - you should send her to Chaz! We'll take more smoothies any day ;) I do know one other person with a smoothie SDiT, also a male tri and from lines very, very similar to Logan's (I think they're cousins or something).
