In honor of this weekends #1 movie...

Say you had to build an Ark for all of Dogdom (Someone else is put in charge of an Ark to save all the other animals :p )

You are instructed to pick one breed (one breeding pair) from each of these categories.

Sporting
Herding
Terrier
Toy
Non-Sporting
Working
Hound  (edit)
and
One rare breed that is not recognized by AKC or UKC.

Non-Sporting - Dalmation
Working - Rottie. bullmastiffs are VERY close behind.
and
One rare breed that is not recognized by AKC or UKC. - Aidi.

Well, if we loose genes here, they're gone forever! So not my favorites, but to preserve a decent section of "dogdom"

Sporting- Pointer (the premier pointing type dog)
Herding- ACD since it needs to herd anything duck to cow.
Terrier- JRT, wirehaired preferably.
Toy- Italian Greyhound (by default)
Non-Sporting- Poodle exept they will be required to retrieve and flush game!
Working- Great Pyr.
Hound- Saluki
Other- Alaskan Husky
