In addition to picking up 2 more legs for his Rally Novice C title with scores of 197 and 198 and finishing his CD title with a 192 and HIT (even with one very huge handler error that should have NQ'd us
), what makes me most thrilled with Tyr's weekend performance was how he behaved outside the ring.

He was so calm, polite, manageable. He didn't try to harass and molest everyone (a couple minor incidents - one dog that he just thought was the best thing he'd ever seen and one mouthy attempt to grab the judge after the trial). He was able to quietly lie down next to me while other dogs walked past or played nearby. He didn't get his usual diarrhea, either.

Maybe I will keep this dog for a little longer.:dunno:

Sounds like a good time was had by all! :)
Pretty much. :D Except for the moment when I wanted to bang my head against the wall.

Perhaps the next time I leave my dog on a down stay, I can remember to at least step away with the right foot, not the heeling foot, even if I do fail to give a verbal or hand signal "stay" command. I don't know why he didn't get up to come with me, but somehow he knew what I meant.

Poor puppy, I'm sure he's not an "idiot". Corgis always give me a laugh. I remember one friend's Corgi at a Rally trial. It was his first time in Advanced, which is off leash, but the owner thought it would be worth a try. Well, the darn dog just zoomed around the ring as soon as his leash was off. Everybody laughed and she excused herself.

But congratultions!! Awesome scores!

Tyr is a Malinois. ;) And a male at that, so, yeah, idiot might fit. :rofl1:

CP, at least he stayed! Nico would have totally taken advantage of me using the wrong foot.
