I was wondering if anyone has any links or pictures of small breeds doing jobs. Or a whole webpage.

Toys breeds, or breeds people wouldn't expect.

Thank you!

Well, things like herding, hunting, agility, etc.

I'm just trying to prove a point on another forum that all small breeds are just not yappy good for nothings, as most appear to seem that is the case with every small breed!

There's a really good Papillon breeder who has a page dedicated to the versatility of the breed. Unfortunately, the link is not working for me right now?
Braylor's Papillons: Versatility

Here's a good Silky Terrier page too:
Silkys in Performance

And recently, I believe Laurelin (??) posted a picture of a Papillon doing weight pulling.

Here's my Jackson, who is a small dog, that can do most of what a big dog can do. :) He's definitely got the heart and spirit of a big dog ;) and is a big dog in a small package, which is a plus IMO! :)

He enjoys swimming.

He does great at agility so far:

He loves the snow:

He loves to RUN:

He's an all around great dog who is always up for any adventure I put him up to.

Holy crap this is a ripped little chihuahua (Off the previous link)

There used to be a mightydog working small breed dog forum I think I checked out when I had chihuahua fosters but I fear it has fallen into no mans land from when I hear.

It has. I used to be on it, but it's not going anywhere lately. There's maybe a few posts a month, which is sad. I enjoyed reading it and seeing all the performance small dogs. I learned a lot there just reading.

You know Mixy? That's the link to my new trainer so that's why I linked them. It's a small world I guess lol.

They, in large part, like any breed are what their owners mold them into. Yappy good-for-nothing is an ignorant expression and shows who these people associate themselves with....other ignorant people who don't train their dogs.

What about all the small terriers who go under ground fearlessly to catch and kill vermin?

Here's a very old breed, the Hungarian Puli. This is a sheep herding dog.
Hungarian Puli Pictures, Information, Care Requirements and Other Dog Breeds

(look at those puppies. They're utterly adorable)

No, toy dogs are not ALL bred for working, unless you consider companionship working. But they most certainly aren't worthless, yappy good-for-nothings. I'm glad I'm not on that forum!

Futhermore, many toy breeds make excellent therapy and service dogs.

and finally a kind of working pic.. somewhat graphic.

Snip had hauled the groundhog out of the hole. The person we were hunting with dispatched it and then we let Snip and Dekka have a chance at it to reward them. (it was their first time out)

No, that is Mia. ;)

So far we haven't actually trained with any other toy breeds yet. Mia's always the smallest in the class.

ETA: Actually I think all my dogs are on that page somewhere.
