Any fellow sighthound lovers on board?

I'm owned by a pharaoh hound currently and hope that one day I'll also be owned by a Scottish Deerhound...

Greyhound lover right here,:D but really I love ALL sighthounds. Some day I plan to own a rescue galgo from Spain, and rescue deerhounds or wolfhounds. But I will ALWAYS have at least 1 retired rescue greyhound!

I'm a sighthound appreciator! I almost never get to recommend my own breed to people because most people don't want what the coonie has to offer (OMG WHAT??!?) but I find myself recommending people look in to rescue greys all the time. I love them when I get to meet them (and we have a fairly active grey rescue in town so there are quite a few about).

The Russian Wolfhound is a lovely dog and I love the coloring of yours in your picture. I got to meet my very first Silken Windhound the other day (borzoi and whippet mixed) and what a sight he was. He was a wonderful “mid size†with a gorgeous coat. He had the “mellow personality†and ran and played just like all the sighthounds. It was really neat to get to meet one close and personal.

I love Bozos! They are stunning and elegant, I've never gotten to see one run full out though, and that's something I really want to do. I'll probably get my chance soon.

I think sighthounds are by far the greatest dogs. Hounds through and through.

i LOVE sight hounds!
my favs are borzois, and azawakhs.
however i dont plan on owning any for a very long time because i have a house rabbit that i refuse to cage. that would work out with a hound

You would be surprised at what a hound will consider "pack" if he's raised with it. Mine will chase any fuzzy, furry thing outside-but inside the apartment, the cat-well lets just say that she has claws and has plenty of hiding places.:yikes:

I can join! 2 greys, 1 longdog (borzoi x saluki) 1 lurcher (grey x ?) and 2 whippet crosses!

They did really well. He's only 9 weeks old, the first couple of days they were in the same room as the baby, but never actually realized there was a baby here. That was probably really good, because they got very used to her smell before seeing her. This morning he (the dog) finally noticed Aurelia, and got very excited. Lots of play bowing and barking, lol. She's not big enough for that yet though. :) It's really nice because he's not a nippy puppy at all, he plays using his feet mostly.
