So my current still airing favorites right now:

Arrow, loooove this show! Started out super still but loosened up a ton and has become one of my favorites on right now. Vigilante hero, comic book feel, really interesting backstory and hot guy shooting arrows. Yep, love.

The Blacklist, loving this right now. Not my typical show but James Spader is amazing and I love the female lead. Sooo many twists in it and I want to know everything. Completely sucked me in and that mid season finale? I don't think I took a breath during it.

White Collar, this was a recent one I just caught up on. Love.It. Love Peter and Neal's relationship, love Mozzie and love all the twists and that I spend most of it yelling at Neal to do the right thing.

Suits, I just adore this show. Love the bromance between Harvey and Mike and the dialogue.

Person of Interest, vigilante's with a Malinois and Shaw who is amazing. Can't get better than that.

And last but not least for shows still on, SUPERNATURAL! Seriously, favorite TV show on and very easily could be my favorite TV show ever. Love it so much. Dean is amazing, Sam drives me nuts but I love him all the same (And think he's an amazing actor at playing different people which is good with the amount of different things that wear his skin), Cas is like my favorite ever and Crowely is right up there with Spike as one of my favorite characters ever.

I think the twists they have on the angels and demons is fantastic, I love that Cas is always trying to do the right thing and always making such awful choices but I love him all the same. I think the show has the absolute BEST mix of soul sucking sadness that has you twisted up and humor that has me cackling, seriously, so many great lines and funny episodes. So pretty much, just yes.

Past geek out favorites in less detail:

Stargate! One of my first loves.

Leverage, because Parker, Elliot and Hardison are perfection and I love the vigilante stuff.

Buffy and Angel, I think of them together and there really is no need to explain the awesome.

Gilmore Girls! Seriously, you do not want to know the amount of times I've watched the entire show, season for season, back to back. All the lines are emblazoned in my mind. So many great characters and so many amazing lines.

And Firefly. Because Firefly.
I know I am late to this party (I never seem to get on chaz anymore)
Wow my list is almost the same as yours!

I just serial watched all of SG1 then SGA and now onto SGU..

Though I kinda stopped watching Supernatural. Not sure why.

But to this list one must add some anime (Fairytail right now) and True Blood, oh and maybe some Castle (Just for more captain tight pants)...

Gilmore Girls = win. I own all the seasons and watch them regularly.

Various anime that no one probably cares about include: Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Blood+

GoT is awesome. I really just avert my eyes during the awkward sex scenes.

Vampire Diaries is a guilty pleasure. I've recently finished Season 4 and have watched none of Season 5 yet. I like to buy the previous season on Black Friday for super cheap and watch it slowly as I have time :p

I really like Grimm and Sleepy Hollow, too.

As far as The Hobbit goes, it's totally my favorite book ever. I've even written a research paper on it because I have no life. However, I do agree that they really are stretching it in the movies. Obviously I will see them all on opening day because I have to, but then I discuss with my sister and Dad (who are also nuts like I am) all of the differences and what could have been portrayed better and why. I haven't read the LoTR series but I did try to read the Silmarillion and it hurt my brain so I stopped. Too many names that I wasn't sure how to pronounce that started with the same letter. My sister has read everything and likes The Hobbit the best, so I will just trust her judgment :p

There is one long stretch of Sailor Moon where EVERY EPISODE IS SO SAD and I just watched it and cried and cried and criiiiiied

And it's so funny because I told my sister about it and she was like OH GOD I KNOW EXACTLY WHICH ONES

Sailor Moon was legit my first experience with "I'm so tired... so... tired... but... just one more episode."

One of my BFFs dogs is named Luna P (they just call her Luna most of the time). She wants to name a son of hers Darien. I'm totally on board with all of those things.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly which stretch you're talking about.

Partway through the first season, I think episode 16? Going through it quickly!
Arrggg, except now my OH is back (he was gone on tour for a bit) and he keeps making fun of Arrow while I'm watching it. I can't stand that. Pretty much any show seems bad if you just watch a random episode, though I have to admit Arrow can be extremely cheesy. But it's still enjoyable. I will have to sneak watch it when he's busy...

Why is it we always have to sneak around for our shows! It drives me crazy! He is leaving for. Couple of months and I have to admit it will be rather nice not to hear smack about watching my cop shows or TWD.

Totally! He'll get in to some shows and we can watch them together, but he has a really low tolerance for cheesiness, whereas I can handle a bit and still enjoy the show. So I definitely have a few shows I have to wait and watch by myself, or get teased a lot!

Yeah he can't stand to see the grossness / gore / whatever in shows like TWD or even the dead body stuff in cop shows like law and order and the like.

BUT he loves watching dudes (and ladies!) beat the crap out of each other in UFC ... Go figure xD

Yeah, I've always said that I hated cheesiness, but to be honest, if I get enough into a show I'm fine with it. Just look at how many CW shows I've watched in the past :p. I really, really like Arrow, though! I didn't think I would but it's completely fantastic.

Apparently I can handle some cheese!

So I just finished Arrow season one. Am I the only one who's not the hugest fan of Laurel? I mean she's fine and all but I find her kind of bland.

You are definitely, definitely not the only one LOL I don't like her very much at all, and I know Linds mentioned being meh about her, too.

I actually didn't even mind her all that much in most of the first season, but I'm just finding her more and more unlikable as the show goes on. If she left the show completely, I would be more than okay with that.
