I think everybody feels a lil bit unpopular sometimes..

there are days when I post picture threads and I only get 1-2 replies and I feel for a second like "what? is it cause hes a chihuahua??"

but then I remember, how many picture threads do I look at and enjoy? countless. but I really only comment if I can think of something original to say!
and I am really making an effort to comment on each picture thread I look at, because I know it feels nice for the person that took the effort to post them

Romeo is a chihuahua.. as Jessie said, a fairly unpopular breed, but I dont think he is unpopular. I feel that chaz has embraced the little guy regardless of what breed he is, well thats how it has felt.

As for lying, I totally felt the temptation. When I just contacted the breeder about Romeo, I was like "what am I gonna tell chaz?" I was so scared it would be a backlash of WHY DID YOU GET A DOG?! WHAT ABOUT KENYA?! YOUR IN COLLEGE!!
but I told the truth. Of course people were curious, but they asked honest questions and I answered them and that was that

When I rehomed Kenya it was the same kind of thing. I could've just not said anything "Oh ya kenya is still at my house..I just dont get pictures of her" , but I was happy with the home I found, Kenya was happier..so I told the truth. even with fear of backlash

as for confessions lol

Romeo still is not neutered. I walk him on a flexi sometimes. He has little outfits/sweaters. I paint his nails. I use my shampoo/conditioner on him. He has a carrier and its pink. I do not visit Kenya as much as I probably should.
I paint Bandit's toenails too.:rofl1:

I dressed my old dog up in a baby dress, bonnet, put her in a bassinet stroller and hung a giant bottle on the side and then entered her in a contest LOL. We won :p

I dressed Ruby up as Daisy Duke and won a contest... She had the short cut off shorts and a shirt tied up with a cowboy hat and a blonde wig (jessica simpson style daisy duke)... I wish i had pictures of that, it was YEARS ago.

and that no one mod can can delete a thread, but they can lock it until a consensus is reached with the other mods.
But how would you know if something was deleted by one mod or if they had reached a consensus on it?

I'm familiar with vbulletin software. I have no doubt that there is a forum section where the mods have discussions that we aren't able to see. It's called a hidden forum and most forums have them set up for their staff. It allows the staff to discuss things like which threads should be locked, what should be deleted, whether or not to ban someone who is being problematic.

Also vbulletin has ways to limit deleting abilities. There are options to move a thread to a hidden forum while a decision is being made. There are options to "soft delete" which allows a thread to remain in place but only those with permission to see deleted threads can see it and it can be undeleted.

The only way to bring back a hard deleted thread is if there was a database backup done, the thread could get reposted from that - which isn't the easiest thing to do, but is doable. If the thread wasn't on an available backup, then it would be gone forever.

I have no idea what permissions the mods here have as far as moving/soft deleting/undeleting/hard deleting goes. I don't care either. It's not any of my business. I think it's highly unfair to suggest that the mod guidelines need to change. For one, we don't know what those guidelines are - or even if there are any. ;) For another, this wasn't something that "the mods" did. It was something that one member did and the mods have all stated that it will be dealt with. Modding a forum really is a thankless job. We never show appreciation when they remove all the spam and porn. But we tend to jump all over them when one of them abuses her privileges.

IMO, everyone here - mod or otherwise - is trustworthy until they do something to break that trust.

Very much this.

All the mods here are hearing the same thing over and over again - Foxy lied and no one can trust her and she's a mod and that is Bad. They've heard it, they get it. There's not much they can do until Foxy gets back except tell us all over and over again that yes, they know about it, are as concerned as we are, and will deal with it.

Everyone's eager to hear her side and I think the mods moreso than anyone.

I have spent hours reading this, and the original thread this morning. It has left me feeling sad, disappointed, and pretty darned drained.

I do feel this thread was necesary given the circumstances. It gave everyone a chance to vent about their feelings and problems with chaz.

I agree completely. I've modded before and so am familiar that there are sections where the mods can go where we can't. You have no idea what goes on on these sections unless you can see them so who knows what the procedure is like or the requirements are. Changing the mods ability to delete things would be much more a hassle than it's worth. We'd be getting to see all that lovely spam and porn much more often.

I think most of us are just disappointed and waiting to hear the other side. But thank you for letting us vent/discuss. For me, it's helped quite a bit.

There's new people that come in chat all the time. MPP is relatively new but yet is in there a lot and I hope we've been nothing but welcoming. Same with Mandy when she joined. It's been fun getting to know them. I think all of us love talking to each other and talking to new people. So if you have hesitations, just jump right in! It's usually a pretty amusing crowd. I didn't chat much until this year either. I think I missed out.

I do understand chat being a butt to your computers though. Sometimes it hates mine too.
I wanted to address this, too. It's very true that we've had newbies in chat very recently who now come in regularily and babble away with the rest of us. :) Every so often folks are scared away because they come into chat for the first time and we're all being dorks/idiots/tards and being silly with one another. Feel free to bounce in and say hi! No one in chat ignores anyone. Myself and a bunch of other people do make an effort to say hello to everyone.

I personally really love the chat (does it show? haha) because I've been able to become closer friends with a lot of Chazzers than I would have normally.

Aren't we a bunch of weirdos? Maybe that's why we like it here so much. I think something good has come out of this incident and people have aired their concerns and been heard.

I hope Foxy comes back because we're all able to forgive and move on. She probably needs support now more than ever if she has issues and requires encouragement to deal with them. There's nothing worse than feeling completely alone. It can be devastating. I want her to know I may not like the actions taken, but she is still just as valuable as any one of us.

Look how easily some members feel hurt by being ignored. Foxy must be crushed by this - I would be.

Foxy - please realize this will pass - we all learn from our mistakes.

Thank you, Laur, and Allie and all those who understand. That's the way I've moderated this place from the beginning, before there even were any other mods, when Karl first told me to take it and run with it; sometimes I've had to fight tooth and nail to keep it this way, but as long as I'm here, I'll continue to fight -- when I have to -- to keep it this way, even though it means there are going to be plenty of times when we mods take it in the teeth.

When/if it turns into a tightly regulated place, where problems can't be aired, well, that's when I'll be gone.

Yes, thank you for opening this thread back up and allowing it to continue. This has always been a really relaxed board which is one of the reasons I joined and continue to post.

Also, thanks for bringing back the old thread so people can see it for themselves.

I feel better as well after being able to air my feelings.
