I got a 35mm lens for Christmas and haven't gotten a chance to play with it because of the whole life being changed dramatically thing. But I finally got a chance to play with it the other day and decided to get pictures of all the dogs.

Zuma says HI, throw this thing please.

Baby Bear with the gummy bear. Yes her name is really Renegade. Yes she actually responds better to Baby Bear.

Pretty much my favorite picture of Ren ever, she looks so grown up, which is hilarious.

Beeber is just as smug as always. She has lots of reasons to be smug these days though.

Mighty Mouse is looking FANTASTIC these days.
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/zooomdog/14360987813" title="DSC_8481 by Sara Brueske, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3890/14360987813_8268ed8e0e.jpg" width="331" height="500" alt="DSC_8481"></a>

And she is loving life.

Zip Tie has a new stage name, Zip Tizzle. This is how he shall be addressed from now on.

Soooo happy to see new pictures! Ren is so freaking cute, even when she looks grown up she looks like a baby bear. I can't wait to meet her and Mighty Mouse.

Zip is also looking grown up! Well, sorta. As grown up as goofy boy dogs can look. And I love the merle girls. So much.

Zip is definitely not acting grown up. Such a blockhead. "He's going to be great in like 3-4 years", most common phrase regarding him. Two steps forward, twelve back, I swear.

She's pretty darn cute, which is a good thing because she's acting like such a brat lately. But, she is starting to do agility in our training shows and doesn't mind the crowd at all! Proud of her for that.

Haha, ya... Everyone at work thought I was just being too hard on him when I first started. That stopped after about a week and they realized what an ass he truly is. At least it's just because he's an intense dog and not because of some other behavioral issue or anything.

Zip is an ass??? I kind of thought he'd be another golden child!

What events does each of your dogs participate in? How much training vs performing do you do each day with each dog? Still looking for more? Was it difficult expanding your group so radically so quickly?

Zinga does all three sports that we currently feature in the show, freestyle frisbee, agility and dock diving. Typically she is in 2 or 3 shows a day, depending on who's working. I do a little bit of brush up training with her between shows, right now we are working on a new routine and stays on the dock.

Zuma does one or two shows, just agility and frisbee currently. She is working on going of the dock. I don't do a whole lot of training outside of the show with her, just mostly conditioning stuff.

Zip only does agility in the shows and he's in one or two a day. He gets more training than any of the other dogs because he's at the prime point for it. He's working on vaults, overs and dock diving right now. Pretty much a lot of drills.

I'm taking my time with Renegade and the whippet. Ren is still pretty young and is working through drive issues. The whippet probably won't do frisbee, we are working on some new things that will be added to the show next season.

It wasn't hard adding to my house, my dogs are pretty used to having strange dogs come and go. What's hard is finding the right dogs. I need crazy toy drive, preferably love of water and they need to be great with people and other dogs. It's not easy filling that spot. So I have had a few dogs on tryouts from rescues, but none have really fit. I am adding a dog this weekend who was being fostered by a friend, so I already have a pretty concrete idea of what she's capable of. I am still looking and probably always will be until I feel I don't have to use Zuma and Zinga as much as I am. It's not fair to rely on them so much.

It's hard when you have perfect dogs. :3

How many people participate in the demos? What sort of new things are coming down the pipes? Flyball? Obedience?

So...I'm drawn to her because she looks and apparently acts just like Tipper. Let it be known that I definitely have a type. :rofl1:

How many shows does the farm do per day? Your job is so fascinating to me, thanks for sharing!

Flyball and high jump. Both of which the whippet is capable of with a little work.

We do three shows a day. On weekdays, we do a training show for the last one because we have really small crowds typically. It's a nice way to introduce the new dogs to a show environment and to work new stuff with the veterans. The farm is closed Mondays, which is nice.

I bet the koolies would be killer at high jump too. My girl gets too wound up at shows for HJ and jumps early and flat because she is a crazydog. Makes for good flyball though!

This is all so exciting to me! Would you guys be able to pull off flyball at a demo? I get the impression that you have just a handful of people participating in each show.

Ya, the koolies would kick butt at high jump. Zinga had absolutely no problems with the palisade in mondio, so clearing a high jump should be a cakewalk.

I think I'm going to try a different twist on flyball, maybe add a couple agility tunnels into it and make a big circle or something. We only have 2-4 people manning the shows each day, so actual racing might be out.
