There's a post I never thought I'd make lol.

ANYWAY, Doctor Who is over until November. Sherlock is over until September. I have classic Who to catch up on, but I really don't have that much left, and I typically only watch before bed.

I'm looking for a show that has time travel and/or aliens (both would be awesome), and has ALL THE FEELS.

I can't remember what you've watched before soo:

Stargate
Farscape
Battlestar Galactica
x-Files
Deep Space Nine

I'm liking the new show Defiance a lot, way more than I thought I would.

Supernatural, even though it isn' Sci-Fi it's just awesome and in the same vain if you haven't watched Buffy and Angel...well, watch them. And while I can't think of it right now I'm sure they all have some sort of time travel in them somewhere at some time

I've seen bits and pieces and maybe an episode or two of several shows, but I haven't watched anything sci-fi-like seriously except Doctor Who. Which is why I was so surprised I actually liked Doctor Who lol.

Thanks for the suggestions! Keep them coming :D

Depends on how 'good' you want them to be.

There's Merlin but it's not a erm... Well I watch it because it's Camelot and that's about it.

I'm blanking on the others. I'll come back

If you have Netflix, try Buffy the Vampire Slayer- I don't think it has time travel at all but it is really hilarious and bad ass.

Farscape! Farscape! Farscape!

Lots of aliens, a little time traveling - but lots of starbursting, which is better than time traveling!

I'm really liking Defiance, too!

I suppose I should add "Available streaming on Netflix" to my requirements :p Apparently Farscape is only on DVD, booo :( I occasionally get a DVD plan for a few months, but I dedicate all the DVDs to Doctor Who classics until I get totaly caught up.

what is doctor who about anyways?
It's...it's...well, this sums it up better than anything I've ever seen:

Also, this

I NEVER cried for TV before Doctor Who. EVER. It may sound pathetic, but it honestly has changed my life - my whole philosophy and the way I think about things. Just shut up and watch it already ;)

On that note, I've already watched Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures, I just usually count it all as part of Doctor Who.

sounds like it could be good... im assuming they have it on netflix with out having to do the dvd thing?
Yup yup! The only things NOT on Netflix are the most recent series that just ended yesterday (should be up soon), one or two of the specials between series 4 and 5, one of the Christmas specials, and many of the classics (pre-1990)/the TV movie (1996). They're easy enough to find when you get to that point. Start with the episode "Rose" (2005) and just stick with it. Some people find the first episode a bit dull. You have plenty of time to get caught up before the 50th Anniversary Special on November 23rd ;)
