How can I convince Argon to eat his organ meat? He will pick around it in the dish and leave it laying there. I think it's a texture issue with him, because he will pick it up eagerly, then sort of scrunch his face and let it fall back out of his mouth. I've tried livers, gizzards and kidneys and he rejects all of them.
I want him to be as healthy as possible, and he's making it a little hard for me. Should I try cooking it a little bit to change the texture? Cut it up? Different source (I've tried chicken and beef)? Do the hula for him while he eats?

I have to agree that my dogs never refuse ground organ meat. They have refused raw liver pieces in the past. I would have to lightly cook the liver to get them to eat it. I have never had much luck with poultry organs. We feed mostly beef, bison, deer/elk & lamb organs.

Good Luck!

Locally we buy ground bricks of heart and kidney, which neither dog has ever refused. If I give Strider whole liver, he'll just lick it for an hour and then come drop it in my lap after all the flavor is gone.

When I first started feeding Gonzo organs, I put them through the food processor until it was mush, then poured it over some muscle meat or some ground meat. Now, he slurps down livers like candy. ;)

You could try it ground. If that doesn't go over well, mix it with some yogurt. That's the only way mine will eat liver, and it has also worked with the other picky dogs I've come across.
