My dog is 3 year old pitbull, dalmation, boxer mix and lately I have noticed that after he eats he seems to be in pain on both his sides like by the hip in like the tuck of the stomach on his sides. After eating he will silently whine if you know what I mean like I can barely hear him whining and if I touch him in them spots on his side just barely touch it he goes crazy and starts biting the blanket he also likes to lay on his back after eating and have me rub his tummy but I noticed awhile back he use to do this also then like it seemed to go away for awhile or I just didn't notice it but now I noticed he is doing it again does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with him he seems to only do this after eating?

Hey there!

It was painful to know about the rare kind of stomach ache your dog experiences after eating. Generally, this may be due to indigestion. Have you checked your dog’s diet schedule? Are you sure that it is not eating any sort of wrong food? Is it overeating? OR is your dog eating something specific in an abnormally large amount?

Probably, it may be gastric distress making your dog feeling uneasy or uncomfortable. However, it may be too early to jump to a conclusion through your description. I would suggest you take your dog to a veterinarian nearby. A pro vet can examine your dog thoroughly and come up with a correct diagnosis.

The stomach pain may be a sign of some other underlying issue. A vet can treat the dog with prescription medication and some changes in its diet, and so on.
