lol.

I keep hearing everyone raving about Fetching Tags. I wasn't really willing to spend that kind of money on a tag and am still a bit unsure about it but am def. considering them. I really like the way they look. According to their size chart, Jackson would look best in a tiny. He's 15lbs. Anyone have pics of their dogs in their fetching tags and what size did you get? I don't want anything too big or bulky really.

I just want a cute catchphrase. However, I'm not creative! All I can think of is 'Action Jackson' since he's so active, etc, but I kinda wanted something more funny or creative. I see a tag on etsy I really like that says "Will Work for Treats" and that is soooo Jackson. He's such a treat hound. He will do ANYTHING for an itty bitty treat. So anything to do with treats would be great, but not treat w*ore only because i'm around alot of kids whose parents wouldn't appreciate them reading it! ;)

First and foremost, here are the tags from etsy I had to choose from first. (I never did get an etsy tag the last time i asked for opinions! woops!)
WILL WORK FOR TREATS Pet Tag by UrbanPuppy on Etsy (tag maker can make this circular as well, i was worried about the large square with Jackson)
I make frequent stop funny copper pet id tag by thehappychihuahua (same deal- tag maker can shave it down as much as possible, but it seems like an awkward shape, not sure i'd like it)
The Littlest Bad Ass by makeyourdogsmile on Etsy

soooo Fetching tag or one of those three? Fetching tag ever have any deals?

I want a fetching tag sooo badly, too! Chew has got everyone hooked, I think :D
I'm waiting to get one for Quinn until she's a bit older though - I don't have the spare cash to keep replacing them as I think of new taglines, LOL. I've joked about getting "Not a sheltie puppy" because that's ALL we get out in public, but I know I'm going to want something else in a few months.

I like "Will Work For Treats" and I really like "Action Jackson" too! Super cute.

I like Action Jackson! :D I think that's cute!!
I'm not too creative myself, but I was thinking... You could just put my address on the back of his tag... you know... just incase he ever gets lost...
:rofl1:

I agree, SitStay.... Becca's a bad influence!!!! :p

Sorry, guys!!! Between Ella, Ophie, Luke, and all the other special dogs (and a cat) in my life, I have gotten...9 Fetching Tags since January.
Well, I've actually only bought 5 (2 my mom bought, 1 I won a contest, and the other we did a trade).

I will tell you, though, that if you are going with a tiny or small tag, your best bet is to pick one or two words for your Fetching Tag tagline because the tags are smaller, and she will tell you that a ton won't fit on the tag.

I, personally, LOVELOVELOVE "Action Jackson" because it's adorable and witty.
OR, if you really want to incorporate "Treat" into the tagline somewhere, you could think of a two line tagline, for example: "Treat Me", "My Treats", "Hot Dog?" <---I've considered that one because my dogs would move universes for hot dogs.

Those are just some examples, you don't have to like any of them.

She won't put an address on the tag, just a name and number on back.

The thing is, I ordered secondary tags from Etsy sellers. I ordered bar tags because they're still thick. But I KNOW, for a fact, that I will NEVER have to replace my Fetching Tags (unless I choose to) because they'll last a life time.
I have no idea about tags from Etsy, though.

I do know that I've tried ordering tags from other places, and NONE can compare to Fetching Tags quality and durability.

:D

The brass tag I have for Ophie is a small tag. And it IS small.
I would email Jen at Fetching Tags and inquire about whether or not she thinks Jackson, being 15 lbs, could pull off a small tag or if she thinks you should get a tiny tag.
The thing with Fetching Tags' sizes is, the tags just look so cool that even if it looks bulky, the tag still looks awesome on your dog.
And the aluminum ones (even being 838494 times thicker than any other tag on the market) are sooooo light that you should not be concerned with weight, trust me.

ETA: I wanted to comment on the, well, comment about the price of them. When you buy a Fetching Tag, you are not just paying for the tag and the labor and supplies of the maker, but you are paying for a tag that will never wear down, words that will never rub off or fade, and a tag you will never have to replace (unless you lose it or get a Fetching Tag addiction like me and want to buy MORE tags because you have a million taglines floating around in your head that pertain to your dogs). :D

Auggie is 15 pounds FWIW and his tag is the medium size. I specifically got the medium size since I wanted all of "BAD BAD BAD TO THE BONE" on it, but I also don't think I'd have liked it any smaller. Then again, he has all that fur to contend with...

I think "Action Jackson" is awesome.

Just wanted to add, I bought Rage a copper tag from thehappychihuahua (the O'Malley shamrock tag) and so far love it.... seems pretty durable to me, but I supppose time will tell... which is why my most difficult dog has it ;)

fetching tags are so cool and i really want one that says "flyball ninja" for steve, but i just can't rationalize the price. especially when luce has been wearing the same (much much cheaper) boomerang tag for almost seven years and it still looks wonderful.

I ordered a medium for Izzie (based on how the medium looked on Auggie) and she is about 18lbs. Though she is fairly "chesty" lol.

I'll take a picture of it on her when it arrives (should be soon i hope!)

I think a small would probably be perfect on Jackson then!

Thanks for your help guys.

I think I'll get one eventually. I get paid next week so maybe then. :)

Thanks for all the GREAT info.

I think a 'small' would be okay for him.

I'm going to shoot an e-mail tomorrow probably to her. But do you think I could fit "Action Jackson 111-111-1111 (number lol)" on the 'back' side and then put "Treat Junkie" or whatever tagline I choose on the back? That way.... I can get the best of both worlds?

On a small tag?
Well, I'm not Fetching Tags, but my guess? no.
But I would definitely email her and ask her. Because I really have no idea.

But that would be cute!
Also, email her and ask her what size she'd recommend.:D

I think "Action Jackson" is super cute!

I have been toying with the idea since we need new tags here BAD, but I just can't get myself to shell out so much money for a tag. But then again, I never thought I would shell out so much money for a Paco Collar and I still did. It's good to treat ourselves every once in a while. :)

I think I am going to try some tags from Etsy, but that's primarily because I know that we will be moving again in a couple years, so the tags won't be for life anyways.

Alright, so....

I'm definitely getting a Fetching Tag. It's going to be "my" Christmas present from either mom or grandma.

So I need a definite cute tagline. I want it to be good since they're so expensive and this is going to, like, his last tag for a LONG time. lol.

I'm going for the size small. So I imagine only two or three word phrases will fit?

He will do anything for treats, as I said. So I'm thinking
Treat Monster
Got Treats?

He's somewhat of a trick dog, he knows a ton. So I don't know-anything with tricks, training, etc, type things would work.
Wonder Dog, etc.

Or should I just go with Action Jackson. The only reason I'm iffy on this is because I don't really want his name on there twice, ya know. Have Action Jackson on one side, and then Jackson 444-4444-4444 on the other?

Arghh. I wish I was more creative.

What about Action Jackson on the front, and just your number on the back?

I am not that creative, sorry :p

Maybe Becca has a good one in mind  :D hehe

Tricks for treats?

"Action Jackson" and just the phone number on the other side is definitely possible too.
