She's very cute... Puppies are not 'mean', it's just the way they play. Unfortunately, you got her too soon, they usually learn bite inhibition between 1 months 1/2 and 2 months from playing with their littermates... which is why it's much much better not to remove pups from their mom and litter before 2 months.

What is done is done, but it means you're going to have to be very strict about making them stop that behavior. When she bites, say a loud 'ow' in a high pitched voice to show her that she hurt you (even if she didn't), and stop playing and ignore her for 5 minutes. Do that everytime she bites you to play, and eventually she will get it. Make sure she has some chew toys also.

With that black and tan coloring, the typical guesses are: German Shepherd Dog, Rottweiler and Doberman, and mixes of all three. There are also terriers with those colors and markings, including Yorkshire Terriers and Airedales. Your pup seems to have big-dog paws (ie, just big lumps at the end of his legs instead of the little feet-shaped paws that smaller dogs have) and with that and the longer coat and muzzle, I'd guess a German Shepherd mix. She's pretty, and I wish you well with her. I have to disagree a little with Fran; while all puppies use their teeth a lot on people (I've never owned a puppy, but had the pleasure of babysitting a litter of Irish Setters once, and ended up looking like I'd been attacked by a herd of mosquitos) some puppies are going to be more dominant and more aggressive than others. Puppy biting is usually annoying because they've got sharp little teeth that really pinch, not because they hang on or bite hard. If your pup does this, or is particularly hard to discourage from biting, it might be a good idea to take her to a trainer for an evaluation. If she's very dominant -which doesn't mean she's a bad dog, it's just a personality thing - it's good to know early so you can establish the right sort of relationship.

she looks too small for gsd, dobie or rottie. I would say terrier (jack russel, rat terrier, jadg terrier) and head shape somehow reminds me of chihuahua a bit. probably leaning a bit more towards terrier in the mix though due to size.

definately too small for shepherd.

I would guess terrier mix.

Maybe a little toy manchester

Maybe a little minature pincher.

Who knows.......

I see you say he has been vaccinated. Do you understand the pup should have 2 - 3 more vaccinations scheduled to complete the series. Plus rabies vac.

Best wishes,
Julie.

I may be wrong about the shepherd, especially looking at those ears (which seem very terrier-like) but I could be right. Those are big feet, that's a young puppy (6 weeks) and a shepherd mix can be fairly small (shepherd/beagle mixes seem to be pretty common.) MinPins are popular lately, so that's very likely if the puppy is a small mix.

Min Pin mix is what I am thinking. The colors and the way the ears flop. But, I could be way off. She looks very sweet.

I'm thinking Manchester Terrier cross Jack Russell.
She looks nothing like any miniture Pins I have ever seen. So I don't think that its in her.
But as cute as she is I wouldn't leave any cute furry small pets (like hamster, mouse etc) anywhere near her unless you want a 'present'

hey everyone,

thanks alot for replies i really a appreciate them, yep i still need to give the pup more injections.About the biting problem well when the pup bites me i yell at her and when she cant get hold of me she starts to bark alot and sometimes scare me cause im always thinking she will attack =P...people are telling me its a rottweiler cross or german shepherd =/...i had a look at my lil pups brothers and sisters yesterday and had realised its the smallest one out of all 7.Im guessing it could be a kelpie cross because i saw a pic on a site and it looked very similar to my girl.

This is the pic i found of a kelpie pup compare this one with my one.

This one has a line across its chest just like my pup.

Try haveing a spray with you. So every time she bites you sive her a squirt of water and say a firm no. That should help abit. Make sure that she does have something she can teeth on

very cute puppy. I can't guess as to the breed, but as for the biting. My Beagle has been a little tester of my will with this regard. I have been simulating a "yelp" when he bites me, get up and separate myself. When I scold him, he barks and snaps at me, so I resorted to the yelp tactic, which seems to be working well so far.

Whatever she is, she's going to be small! Defiantly looks like a terrier. Maybe a toy fox terrier mixed with min pin?

She looks like a mix with Man Terrier in her. She is really cute!!! The advice given to you about the spray bottle is good. I've been doing that with my dogs when they bark and it's been working pretty darn good!

All i know is my pups got 3 or 4 different breeds in it.Im just curious
what size my girl would grow up too, either small or big.

My neighbour asked me if i gave my pup raw egg yet,and i was like
huh? raw egg???.
He said it was for something but i forgot.Would anyone know why ?
