And by enormous, I mean: Dial up users, RUN AWAY! FAR, FAR AWAY!

They're big. They're prolific.

First we have an adorable American Staffordshire Terrier. I don't remember her name, but she is a VELCRO dog. Someone always has to be touching her for her to be happy.

In Cristy's arms..

And for Becca.. since she reminds me of Ella so much.. a smack-talking picture.

Juno, the vicious "pit bull." (Actually we think she's an American Bully.. she's dog with the conformation of a bathtub. Really cute, though, and as friendly as you can ask a dog to be.)

Bully smiles - the best kind

A dog that looks like a teddy bear, but is actually not soft.

Coonhound mix puppeh..

Lab mix puppy - Gina, what do you think.. Leonberger mix?

YAWN!

Cocker/Cavalier mix. PERFECT. DOG. She is so soft and fluffy and sweet. I want her almost as bad as I wanted that Corgi mix FOHA had a while ago.

Mastiff mix bitch... with, strangely enough, a bobtail. Go figure. Any breed guesses on her?

She's so sweet and laid-back. She was a nice change from the nutjobs, I mean, exuberant puppies we took pictures of.

Cute little girl named Kimmie..

Oh man...........you have some lovely dogs in your care! I hope they all live happily ever after, especially the last guy who isn't feeling well :(

Funny guy who "hangs himself" looks like quite the clown with a sense of humor! I would love to meet him in person :D

LMAO! You want a Middie instead? I was trying to pawn him off on Ryan last night but he's too far away to take him...

Cristy was the one who said he looked like he was hanging himself.. LOL.. I think she's right, though. The pups and the Cav mix will go very fast.. as for the others I just hope they get great homes, and SOON.

Love when you guys post pictures of the FOHA dogs!! Like Coop said, you do get some beautiful dogs in your care!!

OK, I'm not normally a 'short-haired dog" person ... I like lots of fur <g> ... BUT that Velcro Staffie has just the *sweetest* expression .. how could anybody NOT wanna hug her and take her home? :)

Also like that Cocker/Cavalier mix ... sooo soft and cuddly-looking!! Oh, and that black Lab mix girl ... and the black Lab mix sick boy just 'cause he looks like he so needs lots of TLC.

Have heard that black dogs, especially large black dogs, are difficult to adopt out lately. Why would people hesitate on all-black or mostly-black dogs? I think they're gorgeous ... those all-black coats make them look so velvet-y!! Maybe it's b/c black dogs can be hard to photograph? But you guys do a really great job ... all their features can be very clearly seen so they don't look like black blobs!

RE black dogs.. I think it has something to do with how dark they are, and how it can be a little more intimidating to see them. I don't find Middie intimidating at all, and he's pretty small, but plenty of people do. It could also be because black is such a PLAIN color.. and so common. People want a prettier dog. That's my problem with solid black dogs. And I ended up with one. Well, he has a little white.. but still.

The Staffie girl is the sweetest little thing. :) Really. We were jokingly calling her a 'Pocket Pit'... :rofl1: She's just so tiny. Maybe 20lbs? And she's had so many litters already. Poor baby.

Hmmm ... never thought of the "intimidation" factor ... but you're right ... people do seem intimidated by Marley ... dunno if it's his sheer size, the Rottie markings, or that he's mostly black. :::shrug:::

Guess I think differently ... but never considered all-black to be "plain". In fact, to my eyes a short-haired dog especially looks *better* in all-black!! Plus when seeing one my first thought is "Ooohhh ... perfect background foil for all *sorts* of cool looking collars in soooo many colors!!"
(hint .. hint ... that blue collar for Middie. <G>)

O mah gosh!! She's Velcro, and sweet, and a little Staffie too?!? I want her!!

If I saw Marley I'd squeal and ask to pet him. :p But then again, black and tan is my favorite color ever and I love Rotties.. so.. LOL!

I consider it plain in that it's just one color.. all over. Kinda boring. I love dogs with white on them, sable markings, etc. Any coat variations look cool to me.
And Middie already has nearly a dozen collars.. no tempting me!

That Mastiff-y bitch is, in my opinion, going to make someone a fabulous, steady companion. Those eyes. Kharma eyes :) And she looks like she has the same type of steadfastness.

Ok. GIMME the first dog.
I'll take her and whip her into shape. Or get surgery for her to shrink those mammies back up.

I LOVE ALL OF THEM.
I want them ALL.
I want Mr. Hang Himself. That dog would have me in stitches. I just know it.
