Apparently it was a pretty strange game in Long Island, NY last night. The islanders played the kings and I watched a highlight video from the game and the refs were calling everything from visor violations to delay of game at puck drop and they showed a replay where the islanders scored a goal, the ruling on the ice was goal and then it end up being reviewed and called no goal because Ganger was in the crease but it CLEARLY showed on the video replay that he was being pushed into the crease by a Kings player therefore it should have still been ruled a goal.

That's one way games can get really out of hand.

Did you see the wildcard playoff with the Braves vs the Cardinals? I seriously thought they were going to fight that game.

Pop up fly my a*s.
lol, infield fly rule....totally valid call. The weird part about it is when it was called, Freese freezed and missed it, which allowed the out. HOWEVER, if it was not called and he had dropped it, we couldve had more outs or the very least it wouldve ended up the same:) Its a rule that a lot of people seemed to misunderstand:)

Yes, I love baseball. Hate the fights because usually they only happen because either a team is being all aholey or the umps are calling such a bad game frustration is being built up.

Hockey, eh, not a fan. Don't dislike it but never got into it. I think the fights there make sense though because its a fast high contact sport...and yes, better get it out and over with now then to really hurt someone later.

Another reason I don't mind fights in hockey.

habs are winning 5-0 in this game against the Sabres. To change momentum and try to pump his team up Ott decided to drop gloves with Prust. They threw punches and did what they do and when the refs seperated them.... they patted each other on the back and skated to their penalty boxes lol. No hard feelings, just business lol
