Hello I'm writing on behalf of a boy who has been looking for a dog. He had his heart set on Paco and filled out an application for him but kept getting the run around. Now, he just found out that Paco has been adopted and his heart is broken. If you had an adoption pending you should have been fair and told him so.
He and I are a member of probably the biggest dog forum on the web. We've been following his attempts to adopt a dog for weeks. We've given him advice and sat on the edge of our seats hoping you would call or at least let him play with the dogs.
I have dealt with a lot of shelters and I volunteer regularly with our local one. All of my pets are rescues and if you read through some of the thread on this forum you will find that most of us are believers in rescuing instead of buying from buyers. We even spent a lot of time encouraging him to buy from a local rescue and then he has this kind of experience.
I feel the way you handled to to be very irresponsible and I hope you change your ways for the benefit of the animals in your care. It doesn't take a lot of effort to pick up the phone!
Here is the thread I referred too.

Sincerely
