I knew the day would come--but hoped it would be later. Sadly, we have watched Traveler's physical abilities and health decline. Over the past four months, she has gotten progressively lame, and arthritic, among other things. This has been a tough week for the girl, and it appears that now it is time to let her go.
I have not had to go through this before-have not had to make this choice. Because my sons wanted to be with her at her time, we have waited until this weekend. I am afraid that tomorrow we will have to say goodbye to Traveler.
I'd appreciate it if you could send those infamous chaz vibes her/our way tomorrow. This is going to be very hard for us all.

I am so sad for you and your family, Bax. Trav is such a beautiful girl, and it's incredibly obvious how happy and loved she is! I'm going to miss seeing her running around with her ball. It should comfort you in letting her go that you gave her the longest, most wonderful life that a sweet Lab could ask for.
