Some are softly rounded and translucent in shades of palest blue, pink, aqua, green, white; some have jagged edges in yellows and ochers, beiges and taupes. Every now and again there is a sharp black grain, tinier than the others. There are crystal clear shardlets that snatch and reflect the brilliant sunshine.
